1A galway, sans the portumna contingent are putting a hosing on the dubs.

Conal Keaney sent off for 2 bookings with a half hour to go, so things will get worse. This os a delayed showing, so it probably has.

Clare beat the cats by a point and rejoiced as though it really meant something... Which it might.

1b cork were robbed of a win with a last minute free by shane dowling to end it at 0-17 apiece with the treaty county. Those two will see each other again i'd say.

Watched Clare/Kilkenny game, both teams really wanted to win it.
For some reason Clare can`t seem to pull clear of teams when they are on top. Strange.

Intense stuff. I suppose we know from last year that the league isn't a right good gauge of where teams are but that was something else.

Big wind at the cork Vs Laois game. The Laois keeper just hit a wide from a puck out.

Thankfully nobody was killed. Congress are considering making him hit the puck outs from behind the stand.

    Cork win 0-14 to 0-7.

**** conditions but you'd expect a bit more from the Rebels.

Cats 5-20, Tipp 5-14. Brilliant to watch, just brilliant. I am not sure if this reflects on how good Clare were last week to beat the Cats, or if KK were better this week. Sad that there was a loser in this game, exciting just doesnt cover it.

I'm not so sure it reflects much of anything to be honest. Games like that often take on a life of their own.

Seeing so much ball going in over the KK half back line says that things ain't what they used to be..... There was a big wind there but the younger lads coming on for the auld heads hauled them back into it. A new miserly HB line to replace the last possibly?

Walter Walsh is a great stick man but of all the goals, Henry's was something special. Incredible skill. Just everything good about the game right there.

The Dubs got an awful hammering last week and beat Clare by 2-17 to 0-17 today.

Waaaaaaaaterford beat the Tribesmen 0-22 to 1-13 so I guess you can't tell much.... Just enjoy it I suppose.

    I've not been away!

I'll probably head up to Ballycastle next week for the game against Cork. It's only an hour and a quarter away. A rare treat.

KK beat Galway 2-16 to 1-16.

KK had a good goal ruled out. Did you see Colm Callinan save from Walter Walsh from the edge of the small square? Unbelievable.

Clare large got sone lovely goals today. They really wanted to do damage to Tipp after getting beat in the league last year.

Will hopefully be at it myself, 10min walk up, unless something crops up. But we are going to get an awful trouncing. The game against Wexford was very poor and 13 quid was a bit steep.

Cadogan and Walsh might go with the footballers next week but Cork do need to put up a score if they want to reach the final. I've only been up there once before. That was to go on the tear.

A great place to get drunk. £13 is very steep for it. I guess i'll pay it. My car is ****e and my sat nav is busted but i can hardly get lost....,

I saw the score for Antrim minors against Derry. It couldn't be right. It looked like Derry won very well. How can it be that Derry can compete at that level but get spanked at senior level?

1-8 to 8-11??? Knew Derry won the game but bloody hell, i hear Antrim are a developement squad and are giving players game time, but that will not do them much good.
Have a nephew on the Antrim panel, he is only turned 16 so plenty of time for him yet.

I thought that score must be wrong. Lads at our club think they can compete up until that age, then something changes. Whether it is application, dedication, coaching or what, i don't know. Development squad or not, that doesn't bode well.

The Antrim u-21's and the continued success of Loughgeil. Along with the senior side coasting Ulster without the Loughgeil lads it shows something. They need a Leinster win ..... Badly.

I heard yesterday that it was a development squad, mostly under 16s, that played. The main minor squad played against, and beat, Kildare in the Leinster league. Apparently thats the way they are doing things, main squad in Leinster, development squad in Ulster.

That makes more sense. Even so, a chastening like that isn't good for anyone.
