You don't need a group of 4, some lads last year never bothered to comment until 6 months in the blundered in calling it ****e

Let's go with them rather than Rodgers who used blocks of 5

Astros chart is good and I ain't bothered putting the fixtures in the file again

I liked the block of 4 idea but I am too impatient and constantly want to update the stats

you can constantyl update the stats easily as its a game by game file but i didn't want to post after every game.....

  9. There were some critics (and piss takers) for the block of four approach but there were also a lot of us that liked it too. I think you should do it again MITO but maybe do blocks of five to fit in with Brod's system?

I like the blocks of 4. Allows us to see if you're on target for the 10 points per block that is needed and reminds you that 1 defeat isn't the end of the world if it has 3 wins either side of it.

I thought it worked great, and was reassuring when our form dipped around christmas.

Plus connect 4 reminds me of rainy lunch times at school!

stop trying to cajole me into it... i have adopted the fanboy persona for this year and as such stats can play no part.

LFC are THE best, no matter what <ok>

If we get 9 points from the first block of 4 it will be a great start. If we draw against city and spurs we should still get 8

  15. I'd take eight points from this block if offered

Avoid a loss against direct opponents i.e. City in this block and crush the mid table fodder. 12 points is the target but 10 is acceptable. Those loses to City and Chelsea mattered in the end as that six point swing applied heavily.

Think Man City can be there for the taking but they will want revenge after we beat them last season (although they did win the league so maybe that's revenge taken) and Spurs likewise.

oh and i have the table done now for both 4 match blocks and 5 match blocks <whistle> I still aint bothered

    btw.

8/12 points in blocks of 4 = 76 points, advantage is 4 games = one month more or less

10/15 points in blocks of 5 = 76 points. advantage to this system is 10/15 = 3 wins, one draw, one loss. (blocks of 4 to get 8 you need to be unbeaten or win 3 lose 1.

So blocks of 5 make more sense during the 5 games to get a result and blocks fo 4 make more sense over a month period and can be tracked more sensibly

either or both can be done

Me neither. We should beat Spuds and Villa without a fight. However we're not as good as City.

Villa should be nailed on 3 points (although this being PL isn't)- Spuds have a chance to beat us, especially being home, but should be a win. City, we have a chance, but a loss is expected.

I'd only take 6 more points if offered. (so 9 for this 4). 8 would be an acceptable return, 7 wouldn't be horrific- but I wouldn't "take it" if offered- I'd fight to get the 9 that we can realistically hope for.
