Well im going out till the final, cant watch any more of this build up feel like Sunderland has gatecrashed the party of the two massive clubs!!! They talk about Sunderland like we are some 3rd division club and if Spurs or City try a little bit they would roll us over with ease.......I hope we win with style so so bad!
That's why we need to win, or at least make it as difficult for Man City as we possibly can. Make these arseholes sit up and take notice of SAFC, we aren't whipping boys, we are the hungriest team in the EPL, we are the fittest, and we won't lie down for anyone. Anyone remember the commentator for when we played Man City and drew 3-3? And he said, "This Sunderland team just rolled over last year for City, they will probably do the same again". And it took till the final 10mins for city to draw with us.
Since 2010 Sunderland have the best record of any club against man city with 3 wins and 2 draws with just the 2 losses so although the media like to portray Sunderland as Yeovil up against Real Madrid we all know its rather different As far as I'm aware we are at full strength and wouldn't be surprised to see the team that is going to start at home to Newcastle on the first PL weekend as the starting line up Hart Richards Kompany Nastasic Clichy Fernandinho Yaya Jovetic Aguero Silva Negredo Pellegrini is looking to instigate a pressing game when we lose possession as Sunderland have found a successful against us in recent times Should be a good game and a first proper test for both sides
Spurs should have been a test but they weren't. Their team wasn't as bad as they made out. Some of their 'reserve team' are players we're interested in signing for our 1st team. How Cities fitness levels looking thus far fella? We look more than ready for the first day of the season already.
Hard to tell re fitness The South African tour seemed to just be a PR thing to me and none of the games had anything more than a kick about feel to them
pellegrini has said the game will be won on fitness, or something like that. seems like a thoroughly decent bloke from his interviews. good luck for the season City but not today.
Here we go, Trevor Francis saying if Spurs played like this against Sunderland they would have walked all over them (or something to that effect)
Spurs was our first preseason friendly so we don't have games to judge on but training info, pictures and videos have been leaked all summer and we look carved out of stone. Just hope it transfers into points in the new season.
