Right, well I´m back now and raring to go As pre-season rears its head, Hoping the Canaries will once again show That resilience and skill can be wed So, what to hope for, and what to expect When the new season is here, Our third in succession in this league elect Where all points are precious and dear We should feel happier this time around Than we did just a year ago, When post-Lambert doubts were bound to abound Until Hughton, we got to know I think he´s proven beyond any doubt To be quite a capable man, Quietly, steadily working things out He fits into McNally´s plan I´ve never bought into those chants of those Who label him boring and dull, His style may not be as some here would have chose But the end result was far from bull So should we expect to end top half this year With maybe a cup run to boot, That would certainly help bring a cheer And I´m sure that for most, it would suit But I´m not expecting quite so much, I´ll say Though always I´ll believe and hope, And my hopes are, when we again get to May That a fourth year´s on our periscope Already in are Garrido and Wolf With several more rumoured to come, So I´d guess in this month of ´The Open´ golf More will get to call CR their home But whether it will be the winger from Brum Or Toivonen, the Swedish Finn, Or others who´ve been named on the jungle drum Such guessing, I will not begin Wolf, I am hoping and expecting too Will have quite an instant impact, A bit like Benteke and Swansea´s Michu Who proved they were right to be backed And I feel assured in at least one respect Regarding our recruitment drive, With Hughton´s talent-spotting eye not suspect We´ll enjoy watching those who arrive But as others too want to build and improve So market prices will increase, Which may not help clinch any upcoming move To fit the final jigsaw piece But thankfully we have a good solid core Of players who´ve proven their worth, So probably just two or three or four more Will fill in the remaining berths So my hopes and expectancy for this year Is safety assured before time, Well before actually, or I might fear Our ending, a tough wall to climb Also I´m certain that Hughton will cast Those defensive shackles, some say, He has round his ankles, off into the past And show folk just how we can play. Hi RBF bor, nice to see you back in fine form. Plenty of time still to get the team sorted before the big kick-off. The same question has been asked consequently down the years: how will we fare this coming season? On balance we should be capable of holding our own but unfortunately football has a nasty habit of causing surprises but then that applies to all other teams in this league. Looking forward (DV) to you brilliant literary efforts this season. OTBC.
Afternoon fellas, good to be back, can´t see any reason not to hope for a mid-table finish again this year, especially with all the musÃcal chairs having gone on, and also the fact that the 3 incoming teams are no better, and possibly slightly weaker, than the 3 outgoing. Will be interesting, as always.
Hi RBF bor, just been reading in Pink'un Toivonen stating he doesn't know anything about Norwich, that should be remedied. A tour of our fine City should be all the inducement he needs to put pen to paper. Rex ok ?
