While I love all our players, I think the following players would be a welcome addition to the squad and help us get ready for our European season :

    1. Goalkeeper: Minimum height - six feet five. One who will come for crosses and dominate his area
    2. Central defender: Minimum height - six foot four or over, can play football and is a beast
    3. Midfield: A midfield beast. Doesn’t have to be able to play football
    4. Centre Forward: A Clinical centre forward, preferably the offspring of Marco van Basten

    Cost - I dread to think <laugh>

Marmite..well you either love it or hate it !!

Dont really dis-agree with the list. I think Bartley may be put out on loan if he doesnt impress in the coming weeks, i mean how bad must he be to put behind Monk in training ?? so he obviously isnt putting the graft in when it matters.
Monk . well we all love him but he is getting embarrassing for us now, monk=goals conceded, we are not good enough to carry him at the moment, maybe next season he will also go on loan.

I hope Laudrup knows a good centre half but the problem is who is going to come as a number 3 centre half ? its looking like a problem position for us after the first choice is injured.

Midfield, i think if we sign canas and get rid of kemy we will be fine there.
Striker, i just hope Laudrup can find another gem, i would keep luke moore as a back up as i think he can always come on and do a job for us .
Keeper,we are fine there. vorm needs to work on his crossing .

My fera is we do become Stoke Lite if we go with brawn rather than brain - not many beasts out there who can pass a ball, certainly none we could afford.

We dont know who will be leaving us yet to know how many players we will need. we need extra players anyway to cover our European exploit......We could want anything between 4-8 new players in the summer if we do lose key players...

I'd like to see a right big nasty bugger in central midfield. At the moment out lot remind me of the anthill mob. Ki, Hernandez and De Guzman are all luxury players when played together and we missed and we need someone nasty if ML plays them all together.

I like the lager option too from Neveroffside ;)

Didn't know AC Milan was in Spain guys? <laugh>

If we manage to keep everyone together, then I would say 4-5 new players, with the priority being a top striker, CB and a midfield general to add some much needed steel.

We wont keep everyone, some have had their heads turned towards big contracts and life changing fortune. we know ash will be off for a start. he would have gone last season if he could and joined joe at liverpool but as an agreement was in place then he has been forced to stay this season unlike joe who's fate was decided before brendan left us...

I'm not sure that if Ash does move that it will be Liverpool he goes to. He's got a lot of good reviews after his poor form early on this season, and there may be more tempting offers than the one from Liverpool.

It will be liverpool alright, I know arsenal are interested but liverpool are the team that looks to be growing and as Brendan will be there then he will want to join his mate....He was gutted he could not join them for this season and he showed that at the beginning of the season when he was rubbish for us.....every man and his dog knows he wants to be a liverpool player.....I cant see that us playing in Europe will make a difference as lets be honest here he will get more chances with liverpool in the next few seasons than with us because they are such a big club...

I think we may well need two centre halves. I would not be surprised to see Ashley Williams leaving as I think he's a top player and I would not be surprised one iota it it was one of the really big boys like the Manchester clubs. If he does go then I would hope it's one of those as I think he can do better than Liverpool.

Liverpool will have money if/when Suarez leaves but will they be as an attractive proposition without European football and Suarez??

Strange (considering Ash's book), but Suarez is probably the key to us keeping Ash!
