General Rules: Predict the games that are posted, you get 3 points for getting the correct scoreline, or 1 point for getting the correct Home/Draw/Away. There are two competitions, one overall competition to get the most points, and a second to see who wins the most rounds. If two (or more) people are level on points in the overall competition then the one who has had the most 3 point predictions will be considered as being ahead. In the weekly wins table if two (or more) people have the same number of wins then the one with the highest score in any week will b considered as ahead. Fixtures will (where possible) be made up of City's game, plus 4 other PL games, 3 Championship games, 1 League 1 game, and 1 League 2 game. This will obviously vary when there are Cup weekends or just silly amounts of games rescheduled for other reasons. No games will kick off before 3pm on Saturday (possible exception on the first round as I haven't checked them) unless it is City's game. This is so that people can come on and post their predictions ahead of leaving the house to go to the game on a Saturday afternoon. Monday night games will count as weekend games when it's a game moved for TV which we're likely to have a few of. For the benefit of nameless individuals (ie most of you don't need to read this but I'm going to explain what will happen in certain situations that came up last season) There will only be fixtures to predict on weekends when Hull City have a game. There will only be midweek rounds when there are unusual fixtures due to holidays (eg Xmas and New Year, and Easter). Fixtures will be posted (by anybody) before 11:59pm on Wednesday for that weekend. If this deadline is missed then weekend games will not be predicted that week, but midweek games from the following week can be used so long as they're posted by 11:59pm on Friday. Fixtures for Round 2 can be posted as soon as the first game in Round 1 has kicked off (and so on in following weeks) and the first person to post fixtures after that point will be the one who decides which games we're predicting (so long as their choice meets the other rules). If 2 people post different sets of fixtures at almost the same time then the first set will be used, but nobody will be penalised if they use the wrong set before it's been corrected/edited. If there's an accidental change to the fixtures (eg someone misses a game out when they copy the post) then all the predicted games will be scored, and if anybody has predicted less games as a result they'll be given an extra fixture at a later date to stop them losing out. If there's an intentional change to the fixtures because someone doesn't like the ones that have been chosen the person who changes them will be deducted 10 points*. Anyone who copies the changed fixtures rather than the originals will not be penalised, and will be treated the same as when there's an accidental change. The deadlines for posting fixtures have been clearly laid out, if one has passed and midweek fixtures are being used instead and someone decides to post weekend ones because they've decided there's still plenty of time then there'll be a 20 point penalty* for them. If there's whinging about the games that have been selected, even though the games selected meet all the rules given (or any other trivial complaints) there'll be a warning, followed by a 10 point penalty for a 2nd offence, 20 points for a third offence, etc*. *Penalties have been determined using a combination of how much work was involved in putting things right last year when these things happened and how irritating I found it. If anybody ends up on minus points as a result it's their own fault and they should just get on with playing the game instead of finding fault.
