After tonights win against the Welsh in Cardiff I am feeling fairly optimistic about the year ahead. We weren't brilliant tonight but we did enough and in my opinion played the better rugby. Despite the criticism of Hartley leading up to the game our line out was fantastic. There is improvement needed in our team though and we need to be more disciplined in my opinion. However I feel confident in our chances especially with Mike Tindall as captain. As for the article title, the last time we won in Cardiff we went on to win the 2003 6 Nations and the Grand Slam as well as winning the 2003 Rugby World Cup that same year. Can we do it again? Only time will tell. *BTW we need to try and get some new members on this board because were running a bit short at the moment.
Yeah, impressed with the line-outs and scrums, which are always crucial, but England are still giving away too many daft penalties. Also, there were a couple of times when they were bogged down close to the Wales try line but refused to feed it to the backs. They failed to score on both occasions. They will need to improve quite a bit if they want to beat the Irish in Dublin. Confident about the other games though.
