In a rain affected, overs reduced to 32 match, England, having set 229-8, appear to be destroying the Sri Lanka batsmen (57-6) with Anderson and Bresnan leading the way.

Having miserably lost the recent 20-20 match, should we forget about picking 20-20 specialists and just pick the ODI team for both forms? Broad as a captain baffles me, no experience as a captain, a bowler and too hotheaded. I'd restore Pietersen as he has experience and is the first name on the team sheet in anyones book. Lumb and Woakes did nothing in the last 20-20.

Stopme, yes, why not have the same ODI team?
Broad baffles me as well! I've thought his bowling was a bit overrated in the past but in fairness, he has tended to get wickets. However, his bowling has deteriorated recently and he might have to fight for his place soon.
I'm sorry but I'm not a great Pietersen fan. I'm not doubting his ability, but the media has hyped him up- like they do with some sportsmen. To me, he's come across as a big head with the air of...."I'm Pietersen. All I have to do is come out and bat."
I think he's become a bit predictable- and casual and flighty- with his one-dimensional leg side batting. I feel he needs to knuckle down and apply himself fully- to justify his lofty reputation.
He'd do better to follow Jimmy Anderson's unassuming attitude and let results do the talking. Let's face it, his results haven't been that good in the last year or so.
Aren't we doing wel ,though, as a team? Roll on India- that should be worth watching!
