Its quite surreal that we are in a position that no-one thought possible, 6 clean sheets and no one seems to be happy. We are relatively a new side and still have had an unbelievable start. We will play better this season and lose games. I am personally happy that we have points in the bank. I'm still convinced with the players we have it will click. Clean sheets win promotion. Six on the bounce is truely unbelievable. Anyone know what our record is ?
I'm happy- ecstatic in fact. Thought we'd struggle to be on 10 points at this stage let alone 20. You have to say Redknapp has done a glorious job thus far
I'm f***** ecstatic TBH. Just I think some of the negativity (ie lack if strikers, goals etc) sometimes overshadows the sense of joy some are feeling.
Maybe we ought to win each match by 4-0. Our self confidence is so low (because last two seasons),that if dont play well and win just 1-0 against the play we think its not deserved.
From what Ive seen, it hasnt been deserved. We are basically getting all our good luck in one go, its like someone sold their soul to the devil for promotion!
I'm absolutely over the moon. Never in a million years did I envisage such a start. Long may it continue.
I'd happily do so. Some clowns would prefer us to play silky football and miss out on promotion. An unbelievable attitude to have.
I am very happy, but a little trepidatious (is that a word?).... I am delighted in our clean sheets ...... but worried about Ned's injury Worried about the lack of creativity so when we let in a goal, we have to score two. I am worried about Hoillets injury The lack of chances worries me...but Harry and Steve knew this a longtime before me. Which is why he got Nico Krancjar, and why he is looking for strikers.. I am worried about AJs injury.....AJ started so well, but think when he is back he will provide a good foil for Austen. Worried about Barton's yellow card situation, and I dispute that he has been "dirty" this season.... a couple fully justified, but not mean, a couple were earned by his reputation I am worried he will blow his top... Worried about Charlie Austins confidence, but he took the penalty well yesterday I am worried about Watfords free scoring forwards Worried about Leicesters strength I am worried about Forest...but I cannot remember why...Mackie perhaps? I am a worrier...but currently a very very happy worrier ...till next Saturday when the real worrying starts again
i can't believe this"it hasn't been deserved" crap,we haven't played well granted, but winning when not playing well wins titles and that's what we all want, caution yes but enjoy looking down on the rest of em.
From what I've seen, it is thoroughly deserved. Our success is based on a solid defence and our resilience. Could I be happier? Yes, if we had the same number of points and were banging in the goals left, right and centre like Watford. Would Watford rather their goals or our points? I would suggest they would be happier with our points total rather than their goals total.
A good few years ago Liverpool were renowned for winning 1-0, and they were revered. We win 1-0 and many are down. If we believe any win is a good win then we are deservedly TOP. Long may it be.
I think before the season started everyone would be happy to win one nil every game (we definitely would if it was the EPL) but its not and as we are winning one nil we now feel it should be more be it 2,3 or 4. I think the real reason is that if this team was dropped straight back into the EPL then we probably wouldn't survive and would suffer the same way as we did in the 2 seasons we were in it! As the season progresses and hopefully the goals per game increase then the fans positivity will rise and then IF we go up WE will feel that maybe just maybe we can show better grit and determination to survive comfortably and then push on for the next few years.
A 1-0 win away is ALWAYS acceptable, you expect to be under the cosh ffs I think our worries stem from the last two matches at home....but we must accept we are the front runners, the team to beat. Teams will come and park the bus.....especially at this part of the season In Sept/Oct to go to Loftus road and get a draw is a great result FOR ANYONE...later on teams will come and be disheartened or have to play for a win...things will be different...especially if we start scoring (teams know we are not free scoring and so (like us) play to be solid and get a nifty sly one in the last quarter. In Harry we trust
