Out of the strikers at the club is anyone of them capable of scoring 20 plus goals and if so who . What's everyone's thoughts on this
Top scorers last season without a 20 goal a season player. Dont think it matters that none of them will get 20, plenty of players capable of hitting the net! I think we need a big black scary centre half
Yeah it is the defence which is the problem, if we can score around the same and cut the goals which we concede we will be up there.
We score plenty, you dont need a 20+ a year scorer if you have three or four 7+ scorers! In Whelpdale, Lee, Kedwell and one of Birchall, Strevans and Miller we have that. Not including the goals which can and will come from Jackman, Payne (fingers crossed!) and the back four Our leaky defence is the problem.
id much rather be a team that spreads the goals that one that has one player who scores all the goals. when we relied so heavily on jackson it was always a struggle when he was injured and kept out of the game as you didnt see where the other goals were gonne come from. however now we have players who will pop up consistantly throughout the season with goals which makes us a threat every game. as has been said tho its no good scoring all those goals if we are leaking them at the back
