Welcome to the Prem board ... currently there is a thread on the exorbitant costs of dentistry ... you might be more at home on that ... rather than one reflecting on EPL Title success
As a fan would you rather a single trophy then back to obscurity or sustained challenges at the top with longevity, but with no trophies. Basically, Leicester or Spurs?
Surely it depends on the size of the club? Spurs fans are deluded enough to think they're genuinely one of the big boys so that trophies are inevitable. Will get a reality check after the exodus leaves them fighting for 6 again in the not too distant future. Trophies > top 4 imo.
I will go to my grave with the most fantastic memories of the 2015/2016 ... Jurgen Klopp today said 'Nobody remembers losers" or something similar ... top 4 without winning is serial failure ...
It was a magnificent achievement by Leicester, I've read comments from disgruntled fans of Utd, City and Chelsea saying Leicester only won it because the standard was poor due to those clubs being in "transition", that's bollocks because those clubs had better squads in depth than Leicester and serial winners in those squads. The whinging from Spurs fans at the time was funny, they thought Leicester should have rolled over and let them win it. From our point of view I'm gutted we've never won the Prem since it came into being, mostly because of the amount of money we've thrown at it trying to, but having been present at numerous trophy winning games since the 70's I'm contented enough to see us win a few cups and CL titles until the day comes(if it ****ing ever does)that we win the Prem.
Thought Sky supported Liverpool? He's the biggest purveyor of 'it was a fluke' on here. It wasn't, they won it fair and square. Pissed it in fact. I've never heard a single United fan moan about them winning it, why would we? Spurs and Liverpool yes, because they are still patently not capable of doing it.
The comments from Utd fans weren't made on here Ruff, they were on the BBC HYS comments sections, and yes they did win it fair and square, it's only sour grapes to say otherwise.
Typical Man Utd fan. Definition of obscurity is mid-table in the Premier League. Having been through what we have in the last 8years I will happily just take the ‘obscurity’ for a few years. Stuff the trophies for now (and probably the rest of my lifetime).
