why is February important? There will still be football...5 matches on one weekend and 5 matches on the other and the FA Cup 5th round to be played mid week. can't see the problem myself
Watch all the top teams head off for lucrative "friendlies". At best they will get a couple of days in the sun.
Yeah should help the national team. Personally I'd scrap the league cup and make the FA the sole domestic top flight trophy. What was the Johnston Paint Trophy should also be put back to how it was with all the football league teams fighting it out over the current farce of Chelsea Reserves and the like playing a established team.
Agreed on the EFL trophy, absolute farce what that has become and I hope we go out as soon as possible. Wouldn't scrap the efl cup though, maybe take teams who qualify for Europe out of it though seeing as the bulk is done before Christmas? Shame they've removed et and added var to it though. As Watford says another nail in the coffin for the FA Cup.
Why don't they just extend the season by 2 weeks and spread the games out a bit more. Winter break is just disruptive and it will cause HIAG to post threads about his fake lifestyle.
Following the rest of Europe in other ways has had no positive effect on the national team so I’ll believe it when I see it. What would really help our national team is more of our players getting out of this country.
And a complete rebuild from grassroots up. This is **** all to do with the England team and all to do with keeping the big boys happy.
Well yeah it would be nice if playing fields weren’t sold off and people weren’t playing on pitches mostly covered in dog **** before 90 minutes on a full-sized pitch while some skinhead kid called Kyle tries to kick the **** out of you but this is England.
They’re compulsory and there’s a prize for the club who can play in the most ridiculous location. Leeds are winning currently with their trip to Burma.
