    Well done? Surely police have more pressing issues than arresting kids for a Tweet. I don't condone racism but the country's gone completely mad.

    Don't condone criminality, by the back dor, by trivialising it. If you were an ethnic minority, I doubt if you would be so understanding.

    Zero tolerance is the only answer to the cancer of racism, and let the courts decide the level of punishment, if they are found guilty. That's what civilised democracy is all about.

    One tweet is criminality now? Warnock says he wants Chelsea's entire away support to be imprisoned for singing "you know what you are" and Titus Bramble has been arrested for having a sneaky piss in an alleyway. No wonder the prisons are overcrowded.

    Well that and two counts of rape.

    Just because its not aggravated burglary or the like doesn't mean its not a crime, and racially abusing a teenager is completely abhorrent. They probably won't get prison time so overcrowding is irrelevant, punishing crime shouldn't stop just because it costs money to prosecute.

    When you've been arrested for something like sexual assault, the police are going to have all the fun in the world slapping on every extra little charge they can. Racism is disgusting but I'm surprised they've been arrested over it, bit extreme really - should have been a shameful face to face public apology, ban from the stadium and that'd be the end of it.

    Yes one tweet is criminality, when it is of that nature. He was singled out because of his race & colour and that is wrong/criminal.

    This. Oh no he used a bad word against someone of a creed with a history of discrimination and oppression. He was then exposed and would have been subject to far worse abuse from the masses, and now he's been arrested over what boils down to insensitive name calling and ignorance. No need for an arrest to be made, complete and utter waste of resources.

    I'm actually amazed that some people seem to think that this is a waste of time and see what was said as frivolous.It's a criminal offence which should be punished and not only that it's totally unacceptable,these actions will hopefully show people that to behave in such a manner will not be tolerated and you'll be punished for it.
    Like I said those saying these things have never been on the receiving end of it and if they had i'm sure their outlook would be very different.
