I didn't want these 2 anyway. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15457472.stm I would still go for Martin
Same, though Clark wouldn't have been way down my list. They're ruling themselves out because they know our owners won't be interested
I wouldn't have minded him, i think he would get more of a reaction out of the players than Sven did tho. Grayson and Clark wouldn't have been my favourites, but they are high up the list.
Garyson: "I was a legend down there". Arrogant so and so. He was good player, but never up there with Heskey, Lennon, Izzett, Elliott and Walsh. It's always best to make it look like you're ruling yourself out when you know in reality you have no chance of getting it. Best for your current fans.
Anyone in any position can become a legend. But he wasn't there as long as the others either. He buggered off to Villa and his career went downhill.
I'm not too sure about that one you know. Top did an interview with SSN and was asked whether the manager needed to be well-known and, with a vigorous shake of the head, he said something along the lines of: "All I want is a manger to take us to the Premier League, whatever his name. In Thailand, if Leicester are winning, people will be happy, no matter what the name of the manager is" Encouraging words and would suggest he's learnt from his Sven appointment. It's a shame Clark's ruled himself out but I think Robinson would be worth considering and he has been linked today.
BTW that article has misquoted Larry, the "legend" part came when the press were telling him what his odds were to get the job and he was having a joke about it, when told he was 8/1 with someone he said "That's more like it, I was a legend down there", he never seriously said he was a legend.
Big respect to Muzzy Izzett. Just after the Galatasaray murders, he laid a reef at the Leeds end, just before kick off. Everybody really appreciated that
Gangsta, the Grayson thing was a little outa context. Simon Grayson walked into Leeds United’s press conference at Thorp Arch yesterday to receive a playful update from the assembled media on the latest bookmakers’ odds of him taking over as Leicester City manager. “You’re 25-1 at the moment,” said one reporter. “Bloody 25s,” laughed Grayson. “That’s a joke. I should be a lot lower than that.” Another scribe called out: “I’ve seen you at 8-1 with Ladbrokes.” To which Leeds boss Grayson – pride restored and tongue in cheek – quipped: “That’s more like it. Look, I was a legend down there. A bloody legend.”
Grayson was only Little's love child! Blackpool did better after he left. Why the f**k would we want him? he will be sacked by papa smurf soon anyway.
Yeah, because they started spending money when he left. He's the reason they got into a position to do well and Blackpool fans remember him very fondly. No he won't. Why do you think that?
