Does anyone know the prize money awarded for our glorious cup run and being a finalist. Also, do you reckon us being in the final will help attract players coming to us in this window and are players cup tied if they have played in previous rounds?
Can't find owt for this season but last season's was ****e. http://www.leaguecupodds.co.uk/history.html £100,000 FOR THE WINNER & £50,000 for the runner up.
Prize money for the League cup has always been ****e, hence the FA cup is given more notice I would imagine 'we are in a cup final' will pull some players thinking about short term, certainly helps us bring in players for the cause Also hope this means short opens his wallet a bit more!
That's three questions!! But I'll let you off . 1. As posted above, approximately 1/50th of a Danny Graham. 2. Yes definitely, it's a cup final at Wembley! 3. Yep
Prize money may be ****, but this game attracts a massive worldwide audience, huge promotion for the club, and we will receive a fair wedge from Sky. Sponsors will pay the club for prominent placement on track tops etc on the day and at the training ground in the build up. Make no mistake there's a few quid in ANY cup final.
As a fan I really dont give a ****e about the prize money tbh. All I want is to see us play at Wembley and win a trophy
Won't quite agree,Cest.I really want us to win at Wembley, but is remaining in the top tier of English football not more important??I am really looking forward to seeing Gus leading our team out on cup-final day, but,is it the most important game of the season?I must admit to being greedy...I want us to win the league-cup,stay in the Premier-league and win the FA Cup!!
