Sky are very active today about possible BCFC transfers.... * http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7435917/Interest-in-Boro-stopper * http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11726/7430730/Robins-set-sights-on-Briggs What do you think......?
Fulham fan in peace. Briggs is very well thought of among the Fulham fans, with lots on our board pushing for him to start ahead of John Arne Riise (who has been a bit of a disappointment). Our board seem split between those who want him to stay and feature in the first team and those who see the benefit in him getting first team experience in the Championship. He's originally a centre back, although his first team appearances have largely been at left back or - in some Europa League games this season - an attacking left-sided midfielder. Some have compared him in that role to Gareth Bale, although personally I think that's a little fanciful. He's a very good young player, who would do a good job for you if the loan happens. He isn't someone who I could see Fulham agreeing to sell on a permanent deal though, so don't expect him to be loan-with-a-view-to-buy.
Cheers Captain,he looks a good boy and with our new manager,he would continue to play and learn good footballing habits...
Great to see DMcI is investing in defenders after all this time of utter frustration. And not before time. I have nearly torn out all my tressy lox... Shame GJ didnt do it
McManus YES PLEASE could do with someone of his experience and IMO is a very decent CB and if we could get hold of him it would only be good for us, also if we can get briggs yet again even better like the fulham fan said there supporters want him in there team, so if he is wanted in there first team he will more than fit into ours, but one wonders what this would mean for McGiven..... be glad when the windows shut so there's no more rumors and we can just get on with it
Thing is Shiney, it would cost us a couple of million if NM hasn't moved on, and he's not exactly setting the world on fire for us, is he. Also I am hoping for the 2 incomings mentioned above because we do not want to be watching Div 1 next season. Ie, the most important action this January is happening in DM's office
I think this transfer window has come at the right time for Del he can loan his way to keep us in this division then the summer window build his team.
