the trip to Wigan then the cup game are massive and could really get us back on track and the confidence amongst the players and the fans will be sky high.

Wigan away won't be easy especially with only 48hours rest and there form of late but its time for revenge after the beat us (which turned out to be a good thing in the end) at the SoL in November. I personally think we have enough in our squad to go there and come away with the 3points, if we can get the likes of Sess, McClean and Bendtner on the ball in the right areas we will certainly create chances the big question is can we put them away, if we do I am positive we will come away with a point atleast.

Then comes the trip to Peterborough for sundays fa cup match which I believe is on tv. I cannot remember the last time we had a decent cup run probably when we got beat off Milwall at Old Trafford but we need to start taking the 2 cup competitions seriously. MoN seemed to do well at Villa in the cup so hopefully he can do that if not this season next, 3points on sunday would be great with us moving a step closer to playing at Wembley.

6points in the next 2games would be absolutely brilliant and there is no reason at all why we cannot achieve that.

Nailed on. We'll beat wigan, trounce peterborough in cup, then get another 3 points off chelsea. MON will then claim manager of the month january.

You heard it here first, get your bets on lads ;)

I don't want manager of the month. Totally meaninglessness. Just to go along picking up points, and a good cup run

Poolie, there is a positve feeling in the team now, the players believe in themselves, so a clean sweep is absolutely dooable, and I think its a great new years day, best for a long long time.

We've had a great result today and I just hope that we don't throw it all away by losing at Wigan.I don't think that we will get a bad result at Wigan,as Martin and his staff have already instilled a positive mental attitude into the team.Onwards and upwards from now on!!
