Terry Brown has applied to manage the club.A friend who is a fan of A.F.C Wimbledon reckons we could do worse (worse than Waddock?) also lee Bradbury ex Bournemouth player and manager has said he wants the job.Bournemouth fans don't say any good things about him,he likes his team to play the long ball up to the strikers.Remind you of anyone? <yikes>

I think Brown would be a decent appointment. He's been around a long time and would change things a bit. He could also take Ainsworth under his wing and groom him for the job in the future. He lives locally I believe so not surprised he's going for the job.

I sat next to Lee Bradbury at the Wimbledon game and he was taking a lot of notes. Wasn't sure what he was up to at the time given that Waddock was still in charge, but makes sense now!

    A certain Lawrie Sanchez!!!!!!

Didn't start that way at first and it was so disappointing that he became inflexible! He nearly wrecked Fulham with his antics! It was a real shame because he did so much for us saving us from certain relegation in 1998/9, some wonderful games in 99/00 especially the Reading home match where we won 5-3, and of course the FA cup run of 00/01. The 01/02 wasn't that bad but after that it started to become woeful!

    so far we know:

    bradbury
    brown
    kieth scott
    ainsworth

andy scott was also seen in the crowd taking notes on saturday

not overly keen on brown, he was seriously struggling at wimboldon and even though he had very little resources i think he could be too much of a risk.. dont know a lot about bradbury

Andy Scott gave Wycombe a lot of s**t after we drew at Brentford 3-3 when Akinde scored 2 goals on his debut and i havn't forgotten,he said we were played off the pitch and were a small team who would do nothing so why would he want the job.The guy is so far up his own arse as fans of his previous clubs will tell you. It's a big NO from me! :emoticon-0149-no:

I didn't expect to be flooded out with applications from anyone who was any good. I still say see how it goes with Ainsworth.

Apparently there was a bit more fight on Tuesday. The defeat by Dagenham when we were at a low should be taken in the context of that game being in the middle of a 3 match run by Dagenham that brought a draw away to Rochdale (who are the only team to beat Gillingham) and a draw away to Port Vale (who hammered Rotherham and Fleetwood).

Im with Ron on this one. Ainsworth has had no real time at all to impose his ideas on the squad - lets give him a chance hey??!

Also, I dont really think we can hold it against Andy Scott for what he said after that game a few years back. Considering they are one of our rivals, I wouldnt expect anything less than their manager showing some passion and trying to psyche out his opponents. Not being funny, but we arent exactly inundated with top class applicants so we probably cant afford to not interview anyone who has ever said something about us when managing another team.....

Seriously Mowgli so far you have on various threads not been keen on Keith Scott, Andy Scott, Dyche, Skiverton, Ainsworth and now Bradbury. The only potential name you have thrown forward is John Robertson who has no managerial experience!!

We are not likely to have the pick of the cream of the crop, what are you expecting or wanting? Who do you actually want as Wycombe manager as surely you can't be serious about John Robertson?

Ray I think with Sanchez it was the cup run that went to his head. After he thought he was untouchable and was the best manager there was! Such a shame as you said before that it was fantastic will never forget the performance at Bristol Rovers then at Lincoln, Emblen getting the winner to keep us up!

To be honest with the finances I am hoping we could give it to Ainsworth but I want to see some wins before setting on this as my choice. We need a manager who will have to work with limited budgets and be exceptional on motivation and I can't think of anyone who has done it at this level or below. The one I thought of is at Luton and why would he want to come to us. I think we should have done this time last year when it was clear that there were problems but then the decision was not in the minds of right thinking people! I have to be honest I don't know!!!<wah>

The club say they have 40 applicants for the job and i'd love to see just who has applied. As for Robertson having no managerial experience he must have as much as Ainsworth.
