The Groningen goals were awesome. Glad to say I picked Noble as a future international a year ago when I saw him play NUFC in the reserves.

Awesome from Noble. Hope he's given a chance in the 1st team next season.

Noble just might be worth persisting with. Taking 4 defenders on and leaving them all over is the sign of a confident player. Half a dozen games in the EPL should test his mettle.

That goal there is exactly the kinda thing we have been missing for years.

Good positioning by the strikers for the other 2 goals as well, not like Bendtner trotting past the half way line!

    bit like Owen vs Argentina

Noble needs to go out on loan for this season and beef up, that would be his problem in the prem

Players look ****ing sharp. Forwards and Goalkeeper especially in those highlight but I guess that's what you'd expect to see.

I've been saying for a while now, Noble won't make it, it's taking too long, he won't step up.

    I take that back.

Wouldn't be too hasty, one goal in a pre-season friendly doesn't mean a lot, but I hope he lives up to it, seems everyone who has seen the lad for any period thinks he has it, his goals record backs it up, we will just have to hope.

Who was in goal?? I couldn't expand screen.

Not saying he'll be the next Owen, just questioning my previous conclusion. That take a canny player to score a goal like that. There's something in there somewhere so I'm now a supporter of him getting games!

    For us?

We had the two young lads, at seperate times of course. Wilson first then Pickford, who i thought was ok.

Stunning save from range first half, but should have had the first goal, skilful it may have been but was close to him.

Good workout that, Groningen being a semi-decent Dutch side, so nice and physical like an English side.

    Probs upper Championship standard.

There lies the problem though, as they made us look lower championship standard for most of the match..

But goals win games, and we scored 3.

They are 2-3 weeks ahead of us though Comm, only our second game.

We already looked a lot sharper than the first!

Plus iv'e no idea if that was their full first team as opposed to our pretty much a makeshift team....

    Couple of positives though.

Wickham in the first game, Noble and Pickford in the second...

It's early days and looks like the lads and lasses who went there had a blast...

Another point to pick up on is Campbell, ermm how do i put this nicely (as he's much loved on here)...i'm struggling to keep it polite, so you get my drift.

Ryan noble should be given more starts after that, but we still need a 20 goal a season striker.

its really good to see the lads playing again, god ive missed this, cant wait for the season to start, but hope we get some decent targets and not Warnock and Collins like we have been linked. we have enough mediocre ****e rather bring a few of the young guns in than those two

I'm sick of Noble doing well and being ignored! Give the lad at least 10 games in the prem, let's see how he does! Will be pissed off if he goes out on loan! He will score goals for fun!
