see what happens when gill dont play?? 3 goals and 3 points. we were not perfect and im still confused by mcghees selections like midfielder lund playing at right back while we had a proper right back in smith on the bench and virgo who has been playing right back was on the bench. strange that. hopefully we learn from this, leave gill out and play players in right positions... sounds simple to me. typical though that teams around us won as well.
Agree we had Clarkson in midfield trying to tackle and got himself injured in the process. Our midfield is poor it needed the changes to bring some shape to the game I am not a fam of W Brown however at least he knows what is expected of a midfielder and held the line well. Richards always wanders into the centre leaving a gap on the left side def not a midfielder!!this leaves us vunerable we did look better with both Browns on and Norborn still need a Campbell like midfielder. Noticed that Rhiordan was carrying an injury when he left the field hope he is ok. Regardless of that it is a great relief that the team scored three (Eaves looks as if he can only get better) at home and picked up all points thought that the cobblers were not great (no offence intended) and we once the second half got underway and the changes were made bossed the game other that an excellent goal by there magnet Adebayo Akinfenwa (always scores against us) blimey there throw ins are like corners but more dangerous. Shame as CJ mentioned the others around us picked up points as well. The biggest plus is that I have not yet seen one side that will run away with this league anyone can beat anyone on any given day so if we get our midfield right (hmm) then we are in with a chance to move up the league away from the danger point that City are dropping like a stone into.
