If the poll result is NO! Are we still singing? Or is it all forgot about and nothing else said on the matter?
I think it can only ever die a natural, gradual death, whatever the outcome. If it doesn't change and all is well then it'd still be sung for a while as celebration, and would gradually die out in the long term. If the name did change then the ones who are still going would continue to sing it as a protest, and it'd gradually die out in the long term.
I don't think there's any issue with the song still being sung at 19.04, but assuming AA jacks all this nonsense in, I'd obviously hope the 'we say no Allam' chant would stop.
I think the irony is that for the first time on Saturday the 19.04 chant was clearly audible and being sung by punters in the west stand.
Yeah sorry about that. I was a bit loud With living down South and/or working in Spain, I've only managed to get to a couple of the home games (Norwich and Swansea) this season. This time round I took my Dad, wife and daughter, all 3 for their first ever City games. We've won both, and my kid said she would go again. Result!
I've heard the song being sung since I started going to 'Fer 'Ark, I think it would be great to continue singing it at 19:04. Just as long as people can deal with rewriting history and starting a new tradition.
Where's our votes Allam? Where's our votes?? Where's our votes Allam? Where's our votes?? Where's our votes Allam? Where's our votes? Oh Allam, where's our votes? And my personal favourite - Why don't you **** off you mad Egyption silly ****, bald ****er. That one's sung to whatever angry tune you wish.
This needs some explanation. Why did we 'lose'? Because Allam says so? Because the club, where all things are controlled by Allam, presented their findings and they tell us it was all above board? And we just trust them? Because they've done so much to earn out trust haven't they?
All new traditions have a starting point. I can't believe people disrespected our traditions and started singing a specific song at a certain time. Have they no respect? Wish they would just **** off. (Actually, I don't. I respect other peoples opinions, even when they are different to mine.)
No one has lost anything, apart from some marbles belonging to Mr Allam. It was a mickey mouse poll that most sensible people won't seek any sort of conclusion from.
I can't speak for other people, if you really want to know why people don't **** off you should start a thread on it. You can go first. Sorry, I'll make sure I get your approval before I post in future. Would you like me to PM all future posts so you can vet them first?
