It was on this day twelve years ago that Tony Fernandes and Ruben Gnanalingam took over our club from Eccleston, Briatori and Paladini. We were in the Premier League and had the footballing world at our feet with our new found wealth and riches. Hmmm! Now look where we are today? What I find particularly galling is the number of clubs that were below us and have now leapfrogged us into considerably better positions and standings. Five of these clubs were playing in the third tier and another one of these clubs were non-league! I won't list the teams as I'm pretty sure we can all work them out for ourselves.

All down hill since then (apart from BZ day of course). A lesson on how not to run a football club.

Did you honestly think at the time we would one day rule the world? We are QPR, we are if carlsberg didn't do football

I still remember reading articles at the time, how with such wealthy investors, we would be a force in world football due to the huge investment that these would bring. Oh, how wrong they were, sadly!

No of course not, but I thought we could once again be an established Premier League team.

That Premier table included Sunderland, West Brom, Stoke, Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan, Birmingham and Blackpool, all of whom are in similar or worse positions than ourselves now.

As the old adage goes: How do you become a millionaire? Become a billionaire and then buy a football club.

It's quite shocking just how inept this bunch of clowns have been, yet they still cling on in the belief that they.... goodness knows what they believe to be honest.

I was just gonna make the same point.......trying to look on a slightly positive note, if that’s possible, surely any of the teams Stroller mentioned might be looking back and thinking how badly they’ve fallen also.
That’s just football I guess, has it’s massive ups and downs.

Fair comment, although I’m not sure any of those other teams also spunked £400M on the way to getting where they are now.

Ok ................................. we have fallen but in the law of averages, surely, we must rise!
How soon depends on how much yeast we purchase now.
Truth is we need a bakers dozen, one would think.

We could rise, we could pan out or we could fall.
It's all up to the management.

You could have Saudi owners take over and it wouldn't change a thing. FFP has totally f*cked us. Too many crazy decisions ruined it for us...
