Always good to have some atmosphere at the games!

I think we do have a lot of fans who only sing when the going is good so to speak..

If the team isn't performing - then the crowd doesn't

Roy and the 1881 have made a massive difference since the playoff final, the disappointment will ease in a few days but we must keep encouraging those making huge efforts to improve the atmosphere. Next time we must group the hard core of singers much closer as CP did. I was in the so called singing area but most people around me did not sing much although the poor display from our team did not help.

As Troy has said today there are still good times ahead.

Sure, but Palace were silent after Troy scored - pin-drop time. Unfortunately it only lasted for six minutes.

1881 were great as usual. I'm always so proud of them. <applause>

The run of results and especially performances since the turn of the year have been enough to crush any fan fervour. I must admit that once safety had been assured in the League and for a one-off SF game that QSF would let the shackles off, attack wise. It seems that I was wrong. What will turn most fans against him ultimately will be continued negative line-ups and tactics. IMO he missed a great chance yesterday to enhance his somewhat sliding reputation. If we were to lose we should have gone down fighting, not prompting one comment on the BBC of "why didn't Watford do this (ie attack) 15 minutes ago?".
QSF has 10 games at most next season with the new players to change the style - then the atmosphere will change. Give the 1881 and the rest of the fans some encouragement QSF, please.

Regardless of the effort put in by the 1881 yesterday, we were done over again by the Palace effort. I'd love to know whether there were any restrictions imposed by Wembley, because the efforts with the flags at the Vic have been amazing. WTF were those little paper flags all about??? I assume the big flags were not allowed in. Yet Palace put on a real show. I have to say, the one plus for me about yesterdays result is that we don't have to go back to that soulless, corporate, plastic bowl.

Given that we were in the 'singing section' I was losing patience with the amount of people milling around during the game. We were in aisle seats and there was a constant stream of people going up and down the steps instead of watching the game and getting behind their team.

Basically, a sh1t day all round.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one to despise the new Wembley. It's positively awful and I said after the playoff game that I wouldn't go back and I never will.

Funny how, from my vantage point high up in block 234, I could hear the 1881 people very well and there were a sizable number up in the Gods making quite a bit of noise too. For all their plastic sheet waving, which was a nice touch, the only time Palace could be heard was when they scored.

If the 1881 had sang as loud at Wembley as they did on my train, we never have heard the palace supporters However that was before the team and formation had been revealed)
People I know close to the club have said that behind the scenes Igalo will be gone this summer, done deal sorted out at Christmas and that Flores is not even treading water now and is on his way and knows it
Part of me hopes this is not true because we need stability, but the last few games have been dire

I thought the singing was a decent effort yesterday under the circumstances. Much better than the play-off. Trouble was, for all but 10 mins of the game we were behind, and that changes how the fans are feeling and how much noise they make. I thought we were great for those 6/7 mins before they scored again. Such a shame about the timing of their goals...

I also want to make a point about the empty seats. I know that the arrangements got some praise in some quarters, but I don't agree. It was depressing to see rows of empty seats and this could have been avoided with a more flexible selling policy. I know the argument about 'rewarding' loyal fans, but I believe that season ticket holders should have been given a +1 allocation. Not all would have taken it up and I firmly believe that there would have been enough to satisfy all the 'loyal' non season ticket holders AND we would have sold out. And anyway, since when was attending 6 matches since 2012 criteria enough to qualify as 'loyal'. Sorry, but it was depressing seeing so many empty seats.

I can't remember the ticketing arrangements then, but same argument applies...if appropriate. I know we have a relatively small support, but times have changed and we COULD have sold out.

A lower attendance, but I imagine the allocation was similar. We now have far more season ticket holders than we had then, far more fans with a qualifying ID and far more of an interest now we are in the PL. I'm not sure what your point is. We got close to selling our allocation...but not close enough. I'm convinced that we would have sold out with a different allocation policy.

There were some bigger flags around but not the official 1881 ones.

The guys who put out the flags (which were naff I must admit) were asked to by the club in secret (so the 1881 didn't know) and got to Wembley very early so it was a shame there wasn't a better effect...
