    Please please go and make your thoughts known on the banner wording, otherwise it's possible that the most ridiculous words will be up on the banner and we won't have had our say!

    There are some really awful suggestions! Personally i think 'Pride of Hertfordshire since 1881' is the best, but obviously you're able to see your yourselves here:

    You're not wrong there - some embarrassingly awful suggestions really. :(

    I even think your preference should be altered to 'Pride of Hornetshire......' :)

    Surely we could only be the "Pride of Hertfordshire" if we were the Lions? What is the collective noun for hornets?

    Wrong 'pride' NZ. Pride as in 'proud of' not a collection. A nest of Hornets, a swarm and, apparently a 'bike' of hornets describes the group.
    We've only been Hornets since the late 1950's / 60's

    You have to wonder what these people are thinking. "our Time is now" <doh> "you get what you believe" <doh> "you don't get cramp at this club" <steam>. Can you imagine the ridicule from other supporters??????

    Congrats to thsoe of you who managed to get the pride of Hertfordshire suggestion in - proper slogan for a proper club. Anything else is absolutely ridculous and will more or less kill your intiative before it's started.
