Not sure if this has been done before but LC plan a 180 million pound spending spree to rival Arenal & Chelsea ???
I think its brilliant, honestly. Milan mandaric is my hero, he probably planned it all along. As fans its our duty to follow our team, and if fortune and fame comes with it than so be it. Sometimes, secretly. We all need to know, theres somewhere deep in dreams, where only we can go.
The best thing Milan did was ensure he sold our club to steady and reliable business people. Can't fault him for that, and rescuing us from oblivion (although his over-zealousness did get us relegated to the third tier for the first time ever!). You've lost me on the second paragraph though!
With all these frees we could bid £150m on messi Ive heard that this is over 3 years, and to be fair, it would make sense, as every year they are getting £60m. Don't think they will go nuts with a) Pearson in charge and b) Financial Fair Play already imposing sanctions on other clubs.
Top never said we would spend £180m on transfers. He expected that he would invest £180m over the next 3 years. This would include wages, ground and training ground development, signing on fees, agent fees etc. I would expect £180m to be a minimum over a 3 year period providing we stay in the Prem. What he also never mentioned was the financial return he would expect from his investment - though he has touched on that in the past ie respect, culture, status etc. We have never made a statement about how much we will spend in transfer fees over the next 3 years. What he has said is that he will support NP with bringing players into the club.
He said it would rival Arsenal & Chelsea. It will be interesting to see what plans there are for any extention of the ground & the training ground for that matter.
