Did anyone else notice we had 14 British (13 English) players at Millwall at the weekend!!? It got me wondering if anyone knows how the "Home-grown"/under 23 yrs old rule will affect us if we get promoted? I assume we are in good standing in that dept.......any other rules which may mean any change in squad size/contracts?

not sure, but reminds me of 1984 when we had an all English first choice 11 and finished 2nd in the league to Liverpool.

Even with our influx of foreign-born players, I don't believe that we're in any danger of running afoul of the home-grown rules. The quota isn't particularly high...eight out of twenty-five, unless I'm very much mistaken.

Yeah, but if you are 21 or under on the last day of the summer transfer window then you don't have to be registered that season. And if you are foreign but you spent 3 years at a British club between 16 and 21 then you count as English trained.
