    Merson on SSN earlier said that if you offered 13 points to Newcastle fans from their last 13 fixtures, "they would snap your hand off". The question is, would you? Next fixtures;

    Newcastle v Sunderland 1
    Arsenal v Newcastle 0
    Newcastle v Norwich 1
    West Brom v Newcastle 3
    Newcastle v Liverpool 0
    Swansea v Newcastle 3
    Newcastle v Bolton 3
    Chelsea v Newcastle 0
    Newcastle v Stoke 3
    Wigan v Newcastle 3
    Newcastle v Man City 0
    Everton v Newcastle 3

    I reckon you can get 20 realistically, definitely more than 13, and Merson is talking out his arse again, what do you think?

    I dont like Merson either, but he did say 20.

    They were talking about 40 points to avoid the drop, they said more like 37.

    "The bottom teams have 20-21 points, that means they need 19-20 points to reach 40 points from their 13 games, If you offered Newcastle 20 points from their last 13 games, they would bite your hand off, and they are 6th"

    He was basically saying they wont get anywhere near 40 points and used you as an example.
