Pretty much what the title says, QPR holding out for 15m but CA only has a year left on his contract, I reckon 13.5 would be enough to do the deal

lol Ashley probably thinks he can wait it out and get him in next year or cut price in January, but look where sitting on our hands has got us so far

12m Bid for Austin from Leicester turned down

I haven't heard our bid turned down by QPR yet,
maybe it's because we haven't made a bid at all

I think we should just bid the 15. It's ridiculous clubs just trying to up their bids by half a mil each time. If your'e willing to pay 12m, just pay the extra 3 and you've got yourself a goal scoring machine.

I'd class a striker who scores 19/20 goals for ****ing QPR a goal scoring machine.

Id class anyone who scores more than 10 a season for that QPR side, a god damn super hero!

Carl Cort scored similiar amounts but for Wimbledon..........

He has only played 1 season in the premiership, you have to wonder why! And for £15M could be seen as a gamble! Not saying that we shouldn't be getting him but can see the logic in trying to pay less!

Look 15m is fair game for a striker who did what he did. Nobody has actually confirmed he is a target though remember. Everything is paper talk. I'd like him, I'd like beharino, but it doesn't have to be them. More than anything I'd like a new defence :emoticon-0106-cryin

Yep, agreed here. Teams seem constantly reluctant to take a punt on him and arguably Leicester have gone big and bold with £12m, rather than a cautious £9m. I'm actually not bothered with "who" comes in. I am willing to give Steve the benefit of the doubt as he actually appears to be involved, which in itself is a positive step. As long as we sign players who appear to be first team material in at least 3 positions (CB, RM, CF) I'll be happy enough.

15m is too much given he only has one year left on his deal and has only had one full season in the Premier League. 10m is a fairer price IMO.

There's a lot of so called 'smaller clubs' throwing a lot of cash around now.
Most likely down to the new TV deal but it should ramp up the pressure on the likes of Charnley now.
The powers that be see us as a mid table club yet at the minute we are not acting like one.

To other clubs, but not to QPR who see him as easily their greatest asset. In their position I wouldn't sell for any less than 15.

Same as Sissoko is probably only worth 5m but I wouldn't sell for less than 10.

He's a free transfer in 12 months. Austin and the buying club have all the power. I wouldn't complain if we paid 15m for him but 10m is a much more realistic price.

If QPR keep him and are mid table come January he'll be going for 5m tops.

Sure they'd lose him for free in a year, but he could be worth well more than 12m if he helps them get promoted again.

Everyone is assuming he won't sign a contract extension if he stays. There has been no report of animosity so far. Indeed Austin has said very little. 10m is not really realistic IMO for a player who scored the goals he did in the PL. Clubs were willing to pay 7-8m for Ings last summer based on his championship form. 12m-15m is the right bracket and I'm sure what West Ham will end up paying

Yes, because you were Sooooo much better last season. Now where is that current form table.
All joking aside he would be a great signing for any prem team. Our defence was what let us down last season, we actually created quite a lot of chances.
