I couldn't find the other rival watched thread made in pre-season so I decided to make a new one. This season we will be hoping to be competing for top 4 place, with an overall general aim of top 6, which would be a big improvement on last seasons eighth place finish. With the Manchester clubs favourites for the title our main rivals for places are likely to be Tottenham Hotspurs (4th last season), Arsenal (3rd), Chelsea (6th) and Newcastle United (5th). Outsider rivals I can see competing are Everton (7th last season), Sunderland (13th) and Fulham (9th). Chelsea have already played two and won two. Fulham got off to a flyer on opening day. Newcastle won the first big top 6 battle against Spurs. Arsenal drew with outsider rivals Sunderland. Everton beat favourites Manchester United.
An interesting game takes place this evening as top 4 rivals Chelsea and Newcastle take on each other at Stamford Bridge. Swansea have already beaten West Ham 3-0 this lunch time.
