They just played a flat back 9. More space to exploit, thought Fryatt should have had a penalty in the second half with the foul by Bamba.

Korens goal just looks better and better.<laugh>

I thought we were the better team too whilst it was even numbers. I like the way Nicky is getting the best out of some of our players like Fryatt and Koren, and Stewart looks phenomenal, even Gulacsi is looking better!

I only saw parts, from now and then. But I think Stewart seemed a little bit too over overambitious, or as the more routined members will know, ball-horny :)
But will of course just improve the more routine he gets.

I agree with you, but all the pundits and managers say a team of 11 should win playing a team of 10, Tho' supporters know better, we all know from our past experiences that when a team gets someone sent off they become more difficult to beat because the rest raise their game 10 fold except on saturday, when City played exceptionally well in the second half.

I agree, I thought Lesta goal was a bit fortunate, Gulacsi made a good block, but the ball could have gone anywhere but went straight to Konchesky.

For me that is the problem with him, if he had caught the ball instead of blocking it then there would have been no goal, he did the same at Southampton

I think the current thinking with keepers is that, possibly due to the new ball, blocking is often preferred to trying to catch it. The technique is to try and deflect the ball away from on coming opposition.

Schmeichel was warming up for quite a while by diving to stop shots with his arms by his side.

I thought Gulacsi was a bit unlucky with the goal, his initial save and parry was good but Konchesky was in the right place and made a very composed finish

Go back and look at the Soton goal - then tell me of a GK who would have caught that - regardless of the era, the ball or their talent? Then look at yesterday's goal and look at the power and directness of the shot, and then look at the length and speed of the rebound -just how high are your expectations when criticising a player??

I will lure OLM's disapproval <wah> and once again say that the poster clearly knows **** all about football to make this remark - it's not an opinion thing, it's rank stupidity that is the basis to criticise a player who is steadily improving - just like the rest of the team. The credit for Leicester's goal yesterday rests entirely with the quality of the strike by Paul Konchesky; despite the fact that Gulacsi had recovered his position and was at full stretch to make a very decent attempt at reaching the ball.

Gulacsi has a way to go and the jury is still out, but surely folk can see improvement under Barmby? Give him a chance ; half decent goalkeepers are very difficult to come by.
