What do you reckon? How are "we" doing? What are your takes on JG? I like to look at the table after ten games to get a better idea of things, as it slowly sorts the pecking order out. Eleven games in and we are sitting pretty really. I am chuffed with where we are. Sure there is room for improvement but for little Watford we ain't doing too badly are we! We have, if all remain fit, a lot of talent in midfield. There have been some great goals and wins this season already and the football is decent to watch too. Just imagine if we get a really decent CB and CF in Jan. (It is the hope that kills you!) Honestly, I am happy with the striking options we have, a new CB might be good mind. JG seems to be smiling all the time and no whinging from him, the players seem happy with him too. Long may this continue, still wondering when it will crumble mind! Surely, we should be safe this season, shouldn't we? I need to watch a few more games as I have missed a few recently. So far, I'd have to give Watford a 7.8/10 (I can't give and 8 for those games v Muff, Fulham and Newcastle)
Well this weekend could be a key result in a way - win and we cement our place in the top 8 but a defeat and people might start to wonder a bit where we are going with games against Liverpool/Man City and Chelsea at home plus Everton and Leicester away. However we have generally played well I feel and been consistent - maybe missed a few chances in some games but all teams do generally and of course had the typical home stinker against Bournemouth. As you said elsewhere being free from injuries has helped and we have good squad cover in most areas. Can always look to improve but then that means upsetting someone else in the squad which for once seems united and free from distractions.
Good start and we have players in depth which is so helpful. Most of the first team squad are playing well too... Plus Chalobah and Cleverly on the edges... Plus Deeney not as important for us as previously... One worry ... .we are unlikely to keep Pererya, Doucore and Delefou in the long term.... let's hope we lose none of them inJanuary
