Pompey have 11 games left; 7 of which are at home. How many points will be achieved - and will it be enough to stop the seemingly inevitable slide into League One? 36 17.03.2012 Bristol City home 37 20.03.2012 Birmingham City home 38 24.03.2012 Coventry City away 39 27.03.2012 Hull City home 40 31.03.2012 Burnley home 41 07.04.2012 Southampton away 42 10.04.2012 Millwall home 43 14.04.2012 Doncaster Rovers away 44 17.04.2012 Crystal Palace home 45 21.04.2012 Derby County home 46 28.04.2012 Nottingham Forest away
Well I am glad you only have to play Birmingham and Hull out of the other top sides. Didn't want to many sides besides us having easy points.
I have already accepted relegation. I am also doubt we will be the most competetive in League 1. I am not a defeatist but it must be clear to all now that relegation and retrenchment is our only hope of survival. However, survival also requires even more players to leave to bring in additional revenue that can see us through the summer and into next season. We have to accept that we will be using youth and league 1/2 players for the next few seasons. It also requires some altruism from some of the remaining senior players such as TBH and Kitson which is the main stumbling block. We are on a knife edge and will remain so for the forseeable future.
we are staying up, say we are staying up! 36 17.03.2012 Bristol City home - WIN 37 20.03.2012 Birmingham City home - LOSE 38 24.03.2012 Coventry City away - WIN 39 27.03.2012 Hull City home - DRAW 40 31.03.2012 Burnley home - DRAW 41 07.04.2012 Southampton away - LOSE 42 10.04.2012 Millwall home - WIN 43 14.04.2012 Doncaster Rovers away - DRAW 44 17.04.2012 Crystal Palace home - DRAW 45 21.04.2012 Derby County home - LOSE 46 28.04.2012 Nottingham Forest away - WIN 16 points... I wonder if that is enough to stay up (with us already being 8 points from safety)? A win against Bristol takes that to 5 points... It's a MASSIVE mountain to climb, but we are Pompey, WE WILL NEVER DIE!
Thought you looked ok yesterday and that Brighton got a few rubs of the green. Problem is just which players will you have left .
You can't predict any of these games, because at the start of every new week, we've lost another player. No stability - no hope. Fans were tremendous yesterday. compare Poyet (rabid animal) and Appleton (calm, dignified) I know who i'd rather have as manager. PUP
Not for much longer, there is no way he'll stay beyond May And you say we have players going out, but we also have players coming in Keep the faith, PUP!
I think we may get 11 - anything above that would be outstanding - as has been highlighted though every week we lose a player it just means we are shuffling a pack and hoping for something - not at all ideal - if all this ****e hadn't happened I saw a mid-table finish now my head says relegation my heart says keep going till rhe end you never know.
