Leeds United FC 2011/2012 = Utter garbage from top to bottom. Shame on the players for being so fecking awful.
So our 18 goal striker and 14 assists winger were "utter garbage"? There were many problems this season and most of the players we had did the best they could.
I don't think they did, I believe there has been such a poor relationship between the management and the players that the players never felt they were valued and therefore never gave 100%. This is simply not acceptable and the players have the responsibility for such a dreadful season.
No, Bates selling our best players and changing our manager halfway through ( a tactic which has never worked). Stop pretending you know everything that goes on inside the club.
Nowt to do with inside knowledge, just observation and reading between the lines. Stop blaming Bates for everything, the players went on the pitch and lost game after game after game, it's as simple as that.
Not our greatest season ever. Let's see who's in & who's out by the end of May. Should give us an indication of the new season ahead.
His loan was up anyway. His exclusion from the squad says nothing about whether he'll be here next season or not.
I thought you'd know all about this. I'm surprised you've not claimed to know the retained list while you're at it. Boabby Bullshit.
Astonished. Mainly at how someone who doesn't go to games - didn't even know the game had been played at 12.30 - can have the temerity to offer such attitude. Your ire is aimed at the wrong people. The players were offered contracts by LUFC - if they do not have the right quality, they cannot magic quality out of thin air. But it is not their fault either. If we do not offer the right contracts to be able to get players who have pace, strength, stamina, ability to pass and shoot, and football nous, then we will only get players who do not have those skills. As such, you should expect a mediocre season. And same again next year. So please get off your high horse because you clearly don't have a clue
It's not the players job to make themselves feel like they are wanted at the club. The players have all the power regardless of what archaic view you want to have, and if the player doesn't feel valued by the club then why the **** should they bother putting effort in?
You literally just said they haven't put the effort in because of a breakdown in relationships between the players and the management and that they probably don't feel valued by the club - that is down to bates and the board of directors. They show no desire to make players feel valued because they are stuck on this idea that the players should feel "privileged" to play for Leeds United and should "be happy with what they've got". No mention that bates should feel privileged for being a multimillionaire despite never having run a successful business in his life and probably having done **** all honest work because it's too easy to just **** somebody over for the same result.
Erm, that's my view too! Does that make me a Bates lover? Hope not! Seriously, I do believe that it is an honour for any player to be asked to play for Leeds United, and if they don't think it is, then they shouldn't be here.
Tbh Whitejock, it's subjective. Yes, players should feel privileged to play for Leeds United. But the club has to show they want the player. The board are using this idea as an excuse to not chase after players and not show a real, burning desire to have that player sign on the dotted line and play in a Leeds United shirt. Any player worth his salt will feel honoured to be offered the opportunity. But it's a two way street, the club should be honoured to have that player want to play for Leeds above other clubs, and show that they really want the player to play for us. The honour should come from the Great Leeds United seeking out the player and doing everything in their power to sign that player, not from just being asked if they want to talk to Leeds United.
Simon, I think he was available today. As he isn't injured, I think we can take it that he's been returned to Bolton
