I work in Temple Quay House (next to the Knights Templar bar) and catch the train to work every week day. Today I saw something that frightened the crap out of me, but I am hoping it has no relevance to our current managerial hunt! This is 100% the truth, and like I've said it might not mean anything and I hope it doesn't. But I saw none other than Dennis Wise, very suited and booted. This was about 9.20am. Fingers crossed it means nothing to do with BCFC in any capacity, even as a steward.
His win record as a manager ain't bad compared to all the others we are linked with, also got milwall to FA cup, Not saying I want him just thought I would check out his stats.
a lot of money has gone on SOD last 24 hours. he is firm favourites now by these odds http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/bristol-city-specials/next-permanent-manager
Whilst the bookies are normally pretty savvy, in this case I believe that they are just reacting to the money and that no one apart from our 2 and the final 2 candidates are in the know... Rhino, I have no reason to not believe that you are telling the truth, what other reason can you think of why he would be in Bristol - are there any accademy courses in town..? Maybe he was one of the "late applicants"... Giving it credance, just for a second, I am in 2 minds - the crazy gang attitude is just what is needed here but not sure that DW would be right for us. Will have to think on that...
As Director of Football - interesting - yes maybe would work (indicates younger manager?) Not so sure if it's as manager - how much of his sucess on that front was down to Poyet?
