    I was in Scotland for a cousins wedding that day.

    My cousin, brother and I were only invited to the reception so we met in a pub in St. Andrews and watched the Scotland game to start with. Scotland lost so we headed back to the hotel to get ready.

    As I was ready first, I flicked on the Germany/England match. Germany scored first very quickly so my cousin decided he'd watch the whole game before driving us out to the reception.

    England started to hammer the Germans and out mobiles were left ringing as we watched England destroy the usually solid German squad.

    We drove to the reception and all the other guests were asking why we were so late so we told them that England beat Germany 5-1.

    The band played the death march as they announced it to the crowd.

    Sad that this was a one off. Never looked like doing anything similarly great since then really.

    That was brilliant, remember thinking we'd win 4-3 for some strange reason. Watching England games back then as they played at different grounds was a great experience, now don't even bother watching some of the games.

    We were all over the place at the start but as time went on...we ****ing destroyed the Nazi bastards!

    10 Years ago today, beer was cheaper, ***s were cheaper, petrol was cheaper and I was earning £4000 more than I am now, what a crappy world.
