These South Americans were weighed in by Germans in the summer and in Brazil's case, humbled. Argentina were comfortably dealt with despite having arguably the greatest player ever in their squad. Germany didn't have an out-and-out striker in their team. Aguero is a brilliant striker, but offers nothing in any other part of the pitch, a luxury City can afford him with their squad so it works well for them unless Kompany is out. Rooney showed Di Maria how to finish a 1-on-1 on Saturday under pressure, imagine how many people would have said Di Maria is the better player of the two last season when ADM was playing for Real Madrid. Guardiola's Bayern have nothing on Heynckes' Bayern by the way.
