Despite a good performance yesterday we still didn't improve our current situation and grab the 3 points that would have helped our cause.

The games are quickly running out and each game that passes without some points in the bag could send us down to League 1. Of course we are all hoping that it will never happen but sticking our heads in the sand will not change the hard facts of life currently staring us in the face.

Blame is not the issue here because what has gone on in the past is totally irrelevant when we must focus solely on the future. The last 2 games have seemingly provided better efforts from the team with a tally of 3 points. Can we parlay these better performances in to more points and climb away from the bottom 3?

Is it possible that the last 10 games can provide us with 10 points? Statistics prove that teams with an average of less than a point a game are usually, if not always, in the relegation mix, somewhere we do not want to be - do we? Come on City it's time to put your best feet forward and target 10 points for us supporters.

Not for their fans, but it's a good job for us that Portsmouth were deducted 10 points, otherwise we would be in the bottom 3.
We also have to think of our goal difference, that's as good as another point.
I know we need to grind out results and that is number one priority, but our football at times was what you expect in League two.
    Long ball, kick and hope.
No closing down allowing the other team long spells of possession & space (not my kind of tactics)! I hope this is not a Scottish trate.
By closing down defenders normally results in panic and poor distribution, which we did not do yeaterday against Cardiff.

Cisse is a must in this side if we are looking to get out of the dire..
IMO we should have kept Carey on and taken Stead off for Albert as it kept us organised at the back.

I believe for the next 10 games it is all down to DM getting right. I questioned some of the tactics layed out yesterday and have to put it down to our manager still learning at this level.

I am not going to criticise DM's tactics although I was quite surprised to see Woolford in the starting line-up.

Getting the starting players right is critical for the rest of the season and will definitely determine our fate. Nice to see we are more competitive after games where we shipped in goals for fun. We are nowhere near safety and the next 4-5 games must produce points because we cannot rely on other teams to falter, although secretly we all hope they will.

I said this on countless threads now Woolford is a more defensive left winger hence against McNaughton we had to protect McAlister better.
I saw the tweets Woolford got last night and they were sick!
McInnes in my opinion done the correct thing playing Woolford in that position yesterday!
Foster is a better distributor of the ball than Albert and defends better, I would now consider using Albert more central as he does not track back enough for me. Fantastic going forward and can carve something out of nothing but at the moment his head is down and does not seem interested at the moment!

Agree pretty much word for word <ok> Especially re Foster's distribution, was good to see one of our wingers getting round the back of the oppposition's back line before actually looking at where he was going to play the ball and cutting back to Stead.

No place in our game for abusive tweets or indeed any kind of harrasment of players from any team.

Shame on the perpetrators of this unacceptable invasion of player's personal space.

He was retweeting them to show others what people thought of him, must of been horrible for him to read them!

I know he is not our cup of tea, but he did come with a good record and lost his confidence! Del obviously believed he could do a job so we need to trust the manager.

Ignorant little tweets, they deserve a kick in the *******

He is a BCFC player and deserves that respect as does any player, regardless of form.

Delboy has got my confidence and respect 100%.

It's sad that the players have to put up with abuse when they are clearly working hard to
get us out of the mire. Personal abuse is never justified and can only make things worse.
What we never know with team selections of individual players is who isn't 100% fit.
Del does know - and has to mix things up as he feels fit when our best 11 isn't 100%.
Having said that - I hope we don't revert to a negative formation when we play the teams around
us. We can't rely on our defence or our luck so we need to aim to score at some point.

I just don't understand it. When we signed Woolford I was very excited given his super record with Scunny but for some reason it hasn't worked out for him. His confidence is obviously shot to pieces. People mindlessly abusing him are doing our club no favours because that kind of reaction is hardly going to inspire confidence in a player. Those so-called 'fans' want to take a good, long, hard look at themselves. If they want to mindlessly abuse players then as far as I'm concerned they can **** off and support another club! Woolford will be gone this summer in a move which will be in all parties best interests. I wish the bloke the best of luck and hope he regains his form and confidence in pastures new.

Very well said ashtonmatt. To all those sad tweeters who are clearly missing a brain I say - go tweet yourself.

I really rated him at Scunny and thought he would be good for us. Now he's a City player he looks a lightweight and doesn't read the game very well. However that's no excuse for people abusing him. Chavs

    Portsmouth,Forest and Coventry coming up.
    We win those,we stay up.
    Simples.
And as for Woolford...he should know that just about every 'public figure' who uses twitter has recieved crap from it.
Did he expect to be any different?

WE cannot afford to lose is the option on these games. 4 scenarios:-

Best is we win all 3
Worst is we lose all 3

If we lose one = v Florest
Draw 3 (and 7 games for all to save their season)

any other results are worth thinking about. I think Florest who have been teetering are finally now on the right path.
Millwall who after game 18 were my tip for the bottom have been doing just enough to ( sort of results we needed ) to keep out of the the "lions den" !!!!
