Must say I have been delighted with the way they have performed in what was on paper two very difficult games I think we now have all our ducks in a row apart from Watford away Morrison has found his form and fitness my only doubt is Warnock I thought he was to blame for both their goals interseting to hear what you think especially their second goal where he lost Murray allowing him to get behind him . Its all about who has the bottle to see it through Leicester ,Cardiff ,have got very edgy especially Leicester who have lost their confidence on the other hand Forest have found theirs along with Bolton but I will discount the latter has they don,t score enough for me So the runners are Cardiff Crystal p Watford Hull Forest Brighton Leicester ,Leeds Bolton I think Boro have bottled it so that must give them confidence ,what ever happens its going to be a roller coaster for all the teams
We were in a a similar position in 1954 when we needed to win our last 5 games to get promotion we beat Doncaster r hull and Rotherham away and Bristol R at homeI cant remember the 5 but the other 4 its just like yesterday and we did it and I won my bet a season ticket for the next season how good is that!
Josh have another look at that goal Murray comes in from Warnocks right and in my opinion Warnock should have put the ball out of play
I think Kenny could have done better on the second but I agree Warnock was at fault for both goals, which is a shame because apart from that I think he's been great at left back. The experience coupled with a bit of PL class that I had hoped McCartney would be.
Thank you Simon you can watch it on Iplayer to see what I,m taking about incidentally I think that Beckford will not be helping us out next week as he doesn,t seem to fit into Robins plans which is a pity because he could have been our 12 man
Been very busy with exams and such, pretty much been non stop since the beginning of February. I've tried to check in every now and then but not been able to post anywhere near as much as I'd like. Now I have more free time than I know what to do with so you'll be seeing a lot more of me!
We can make it to the Playoffs it's not impossible but it's going to be hard. Cardiff should finish top but the have a problem of slipping up this time of the year and Leicester should finish 2nd. Play offs are anybody's game right about now but I do think Bolton are that team who are going on the late run and will get in to the Playoffs
Leicester 2nd? Have you seen the league/form table? I'd say you should be looking at them as your best chance of sneaking into the top 6, although I can't see you managing it myself.
Yes, but Murray was being marked by Peltier pretty much the whole game, Warnock was kinda covering Peliter (for both goals really) and in the end was never gonna get to that ball before Murray and Kenny could've easily come out and caught that. Even though he didn't, it wasn't exactly a hard save to make, it went pretty much about a foot right of where he was. Any keeper worth there salt would've saved that, in fact any decent keeper would've come out and collected it. I actually do think Hull will grab second, Udinese B will screw it up and Palace aren't good enough defensively
I think it's between us and Watford myself, and we play them at the start of April which could give one side the edge going into the run-in.
Seems that the owners of Leicester have been reading my review and have told Pearson mike thinks you are not good enough if you don,t win tomorrow your out!
Next 3 games are critical - win all 3 and we are looking good to get into the playoffs. Anything less than 2 wins and it is probably all over.
The Palace result was exceptional, we should have beat Leicester, they are in terrible form, they lost at home to Sheff W the other day that shows how poor they are playing. If it wasn't for the Palace game I would say we were building up our hopes here far too much...
We need maximum 9 points from the next three, to win at home is a must and if you are going to get into the top 6 you need an away win somewhere. Leicester are going to be the ones we need to over take for 6th spot, Watford and Hull have two and three and nailed on with Palace 4th as far as I am concerned. I said we haven't a chance and I don't believe we had until the Leicester slump. However a win for Leicester at Cardiff tomorrow and it will be game over.
