Tried looking for a pre season prediction thread of how the league would finish but can't find one.
So 10 games in & it's already looking bad for us, but what does everyone think the league will look now.
    Top 5 & bottom 5!

    1. Man City
    2. Arsenal
    3. Liverpool
    4. Chelski
    5. Man Utd.

The top 4 will be those 4 IMO, maybe different order, but I still think it's Man City's to lose, 5th spot for me is the most difficult as Everton & Spurs will be there or there abouts. I just think Man Utd will get their arses into gear before long & actually challenge the top 4.

    Bottom 5.

    16. Swansea
    17. Hull City
    18. Burnley
    19. Middlesbrough
    20. Sun'lan

Same as the top 4, but this bottom 5 could be any order. I just can't bring myself to put us in the bottom 3, even though I know we'll be a major part of it if we don't turn it round soon.
I can't see any other teams being in that bottom 5 other than these. Wet Spam might try, but really have better players than they're showing right now, although every year a surprise team goes down, so maybe.
Most will ask why Burnley & Boro are in my bottom 3, well Boro are good at the back, going forward, struggling for goals despite Saturday. While Burnley are tenacious & battlers, I just can't see them giving up 75-80% possession every week & staying up, even when Gray is back.

It's daft to predict these things with so many games left.

Leicester were pretty much relegated couple seasons a go and won the last load if you remember. Anything can happen.

The only predictions i'm certain of are us and Sunderland to be relegated and Man U to finish outside the top 4

True armchair managers don't do predictions -they just say what they would have done different to win a game that has already been lost.

Ok, I'll find this thread after 37 games & you can predict it then.
I thought 10 games is a good time to see how things are going & what people think, considering this is normally a pre season thread where there are no games that have been played & just randomly guessing which of the **** teams will be relegated & which of the multi million pound teams will win the league!

On current form we are almost certain for relegation. Both Burnley and Middlesbrough look well organised and are hard to beat. Phelan seems clueless who to pick and where. Unless we get a new Manager in January who can turn us around we are back in the Championship next year.

    16. West Ham
    17. Burnley
    18. Hull City
    19. Swansea
    20. Sunderland

Up top it could be any of the top five

    1. Man City
    2. Liverpool
    3. Chelsea
    4. Arsenal
    5. Man Utd

We look very poor & I don't think we've signed the players of a high enough calibre. It already feels like the Dowie period to me

I think we have the players to survive. We might not have the depth - the green will rub as it will.

At the moment we are naive and also suffering key injuries. But we've been here before. We need a bit of luck; as does everyone.

I'm far from convinced by MP, just as I am not too sure he convinces himself. I think his No. 2 is the possible game changer; just having one not looking at the exit.

Will our lot in life change any time soon? No.

Is this the same as the Steve Bruce years? No, not in my opinion.

MP is far more vulnerable, he does not have the so-called gravitas of Bruce, the promotion King.

But MP has not yet got us relegated; has he?

I do criticise managers, but our circumstance is not normal, there is no rational plan or open communication from the owners, so to condemn and castigate a decent man seems both poor and defining.

Feeding off the early inadequacies of Mick Phelan does smack of cheering when the Christian head is finally chewed by the Collesium Lion. Our Caesar is fiddling and many find a scrapegoat.

Mick Phelan deserves some sort of support (... tive banner) far more than the coddled and pampered Bruce. When the pampering stopped, Bruce cleared off.

Yep, agree and in respect to us being naïve and lacking a bit of guile, after watching Rio Ferdinand, pundit on CL game last night, he could be a good shout, if MP could persuade him to come and help coach for 6 months, he could help instil a bit of bite, man them up, solve the naivety, give a bit of guile? I am sure that I read a while back that he hast lost a lot of his fortune and needs the money. Wouldn't affect his CV, same as MP, if we stay up great for the CV, if we didn't survive then I'm sure that the "reasonable reasons", contributing factors, not excuses, are already laid bare, which are all outside of his control.

Champions League involvement might scupper Man City.

I think the Liverpool squad will keep fresh (no European football) and have a good chance of the title.
