..........and I make it still over £20M left in Ole's pocket.....Hmmmm

Wolfman and the Dahlia already in the bin at no money, so what should we do?

One a day at £2m apiece, a couple at £10M a throw, or blow the lot in one go on a mega name?

Such a problem to have eh?

Will the Joe Mason £2M get added to the pot?

Given where we are, we need to have one eye on being in the championship so would be loathe to blow it on one or two players. I'd like OGS to be looking at £2-5M pound players who are better than those we have with a view to a clear out at the end of the season wherever we are. Smith, Cowie (though I'd have him in front of Gunnar), Conway, Kiss, Gunnar, Kev (sad I know, but no room for sentiment) and maybe one or two more now need to go.

Going by other threads, let's not shop in Spain though!

There is £25m in the pot and we are bottom of the league. I can think of no better reason to spend the lot. Big money on any available big names, particularly a prolific striker. Ole was promised it so Ole should spend it.

If he has £20M I'd go for 3 new players at approx. £7m each, already got 2 new.

As remote said a clear out needed. You can add Connolly, Hudson, Whitts, Odemwingie, Brayford, Maynard to his list.

Some hard choices but there is no sentiment in football.

Posted this in transfers, but it seems we have a certain Nacho Scocco in our sights at around £5 million, wages could be high though.

Got to be honest Sweet I've never heard of the guy but according to that font of knowledge Wiki site he can adapt to either wing, play second striker, attacking midfielder. Players who can adapt to various positions are worth the money, assuming this is not just hype.

Got to keep Mason for next season if we are relegated.

Don't quite understand that thinking Nin - you think he'll be enough to get us back up because the others will go?

Having said that, I've said before he should be kept and played this season before we do hit **** street. The lad must be worth a shot when you see the effect an "average Joey" like Noone can have on team performances.

You don't know what you've got in the bottle until you try it - Mason's poaching could prove to be a missing ingredient. He seems to pop up in the right place at the right time - he's no ball-playing link man, but the lad is cool and can finish.

Maynard will also do a job in The Championship.

I cant believe Ole has £20m to spend either.

Id be much happier with some loans and also be in the knowledge theres a plan to bounce back.

Throw money at expensive signings and get relegated would be a disaster.

It will be interesting to see who starts up front on Saturday. Theres talk that Healy may get a go.

Id like to see Moore , Oshilaja , Wharton , Healy and Harris (if fit) all given a chance Saturday.

Saying that did Oshilaja play for Newport in the cup?

Will depend on relegation clauses as to what team we have if we go down, we could have more or less this team to fight to get back up right away.

The £20M+ would be what's left to spend after Eikrem and Daehli if the press noises when Solskjaer was appointed are to be believed.

Must admit, I've not noticed that made public by Tan or anyone else at the club. Maybe just Media hype, or maybe......................

I think Caulker and Medel will be sold. Id expect offers for Jordan Mutch as well.

I hope the others have relegation causes.

I feel we won't have to sell (assuming Tan is still with us), so it will depend on who wants to stick with us.
I suspect there will be a few who would want a transfer, but I don't believe we will have to sell.

OS, My thoughts were that he would be necessary to spearhead a championship squad given Campbell would be unlikely to stay. He could be our 20+ goal a season man, the Charlie Austin, Danny Ings if you like.

Would like to see him given some PL time though, and certainly think he should get some game time at Bolton.

Bolton fans didn't rate him - would be nice to see him prove them wrong.

EDIT: - Oh. and I expect McNuggs to score again - this time for us.......<laugh>
