Check the picture below, they are identical in appearance and weight. I've got 10 of these 10baht coins stashed away and will be getting myself some cheap Belgian beer when I visit Brussells in June. please log in to view this image
I dont know for certain but I have heard a rumour that they do. If I get caught all I need to say is sorry I'm just back from Thailand and it must have got mixed up.
I'm thinking of going into the CO-OP and getting revenge on those god ****ing awful self service machines they force to use that think you're nicking **** all the time.
Mick, I've not been to malta for well over 12 years but I remember 25(lira?) coins were the same size and weight as 2p's. Packet of ***s out most machines would cost you 65 Lira (3x25lira plus get 10 lira sellotaped to the packet). It ended up you got money back if you stuck 3 x 2p's. Magical times guys, magical times!
bring back hundreds, put them in one of those coin counting machines, that would be amazin if it worked. do they not have to be the exact same weight for machines tho?
Those coin machines work out metallic composition nowadays not weight. Don't know where I read that but it's in my head somehow. Some kind of electromagnet reads the composition.
Dont know what the script is with those coin star things in tesco but I wont be putting 10 baht coins into them. I wont have enough to make it worth it anyway. Over there bar bills are paid in bulk with notes and when buying stuff you can usually haggle to whatever you say you have in your pocket. You only get change from the wee grocery stores. All I know is 10 of those bad boys will be infiltrating the Belgian economy in June
