mcghee signalled his interest in offering central defender aaron downes a future with the gas. since joining us on loan from chesterfield, he put in a string of impressive performances before suffering a knee injury. as a result of his injury, during his recovery he has been helping the club acting as a scout looking at opposing teams. quote from mcghee: i hope we can sign him. he was impressive in my opinion. the loans we currently have with us, would you like to see any of them back next season either loan or permanent? aaron downes cian bolger michael poke matthew lund andy dorman tom parkes added to this, james patersons short term deal to the end of season will run out. would you like him back? your thoughts
CJS, i would like to see all of the above stay as they have all done OK recently. The problem is, is there better out there that we dont know about!! i dont have a problem with Mcgliesh going as i dont see him as a 20 goal a year man which is what we are desperate for. Unfortunately i dont see 20 goals from harrold either. Time is right to let Byron go. A good servant to the club, gives 100% every game but makes to many obvious mistakes. I also have no confidence in Bevan and hope we can sign Poke on a permanant deal. Once we are safe from relegation i think we should give the young lad Mclaggon a propper go in the first team to see what he has got.
parkes and bolger works well together as they already have a relationship at leicester. i would like to have them both back. if just 1 then parkes for me. downes as well will be a good addiction. poke yes please. beats cronin and bevan hands down. lund looks exciting so would like him to stay. only dorman i havent been impressed with to be honest. i havent been able to see the good things what a few other have seen from him
aaron downes-100% cian bolger-80% michael poke-100% matthew lund-75% andy dorman-40% tom parkes-90% added to this, james patersons short term deal to the end of season will run out. would you like him back? Yes
I would have almost everyone back next season, Dorman being the only doubt. MM says Dorman is more attacking minded and would like to see more goals from him, I would too as his goals for his previous clubs haven't been too bad but with Wayne brown out of contract (and younger) I would opt for Brown, though saying that Dorman did get us 3 points last week and hopefully his first goal for the club might give him the confidence he needed to get forward more and take his chances.
aaron downes - Definitely! Has been a rock, id love to see him back here permanently. cian bolger - Definitely! Been very good for us over the last couple of seasons michael poke - Definitely! Very good for this division and i love how he comes out for the ball, unlike any of the others in this division. matthew lund - Yeah sure, seems a good little player from what I have seen andy dorman - Not sure about Dorman really, seems to play well one game, and poor the next. Needs consistency, but I wouldn't be upset if we signed him again for a season. tom parkes - Looks very good as well, so keep him at the back with Bolger and Downes james paterson - Definitely - Looks VERY good for this level!
