No shame in losing by a big score in the premier league at times..its happened to Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle ...infact most clubs at times.

I'm sure with NP in charge you will stay up if only just.....then improve bit by bit.

Maybe both our clubs can become mid table teams and both stay up for some years.

And get to cup semi finals / finals.

We beat Liverpool 3-1......didn't see that coming

Bet you take a big scalp or two also

Yeah, the way some fans have acted, you'd have thought we gambled our Prem place on tonight's result! GTF got it right when he said the players struggled for motivation after the weight of promotion hopes was lifted from them. This result will serve as a motivator for the rest of the season though... we won't want this again.

As Filey points out, getting smashed is a way of life in the Prem. Even the big boys smash each other - I think that's what Richard Keys meant anyway. Our fair weather fans need to get used to it - we're not going to dominate like this season!

I've never seen us play that badly before. Andy King and Anthony Knockaert were disgraceful.

If we play like that in the PL, the opposition will likely retire after 20 minutes. We were that bad.

Thought King played okay second half. Boy do we miss Vardy though.

Without Vardy, De Laet, Sclupp and Dyer we really lacked pace. No wonder we struggled.

Ah. The classic final step of wumming a promotion rival:

"When they do get promoted, your last option is to repeatedly tell them how badly they are going to do in the league above, culminating in a certain immediate relegation"

Even if we come back down, if we continue to take the current approach, there's no way we won't be in contention again the season after. We'll settle in the Prem eventually. Unlike teams that just throw money at their problems - they usually end laughing stocks eventually.

This <ok> but Brighton deserve alot of credit.

Worst thing that could happen now is that we finish 2nd, not a bad disaster situation!

Let the crumble begin. We already have that beautiful "P" next to our name? Did QPR play last night? If so I assume they won again as usual to maintain their excellent form of late

TBH Miami, i didnt know anyone was playing..Been busy trying to arrange brother in laws funeral and get to UK..not really been in touch with footy for past week

in reality, you should just play your youth team for the rest and let NP see who he thinks will cut it next year...your up so why care.
the boys have done an excellent job and deserve a break...we also need a few points <laugh>

Sorry about for brother in law mate.

I want a C next to our name plus there is that crappy rule about playing your strongest side every game.

We'll be fine, there are a lot worse teams than us in the prem and we haven't even signed any better players yet.
