Long trip up to Yorkshire tonight, hope they took ‘airplain to avoid tiredness....good enough to get all three points against a good team...tough as teal eh pals? 1-1 it is then! Told Doris I’d take her there on day for ’tut trip of lifetime! Barnsley defender Angus MacDonald should be fine despite having to go off in Saturday's draw at Norwich. Midfielder Joe Williams serves a one-match ban, so Gary Gardner could come in after returning from injury. Cardiff midfielder Aron Gunnarsson could make a first start since 23 September after coming off the bench in Saturday's 2-0 win over Brentford. Defender Lee Peltier returns from suspension, but Omar Bogle is suspended and Kenneth Zohore (ankle) is a doubt. Lee Camp, Kadeem Harris and Jazz Richards remain long-term absentees for the third-placed Bluebirds. Match facts Barnsley have won one of their last eight home league matches against Cardiff (D2 L5), a 1-0 win in November 2009. The Bluebirds haven't won any of their last three league games against the Tykes (D2 L1), drawing 0-0 at Oakwell last season. Barnsley are currently on a four-match unbeaten run in the Championship (W2 D2) - the last time the Tykes went five unbeaten came back in May 2016 (a run of six). Cardiff City have won five of their last nine away matches in the Championship (D1 L3), having previously gone six matches without an away victory (D3 L3). Only Wolves (9) have kept more clean sheets in the Championship this season than the Bluebirds (7).
tut Barnsley.....u wasn't standing on the bob bank by me the last season at ninian park screaming the same thing over and over was you by any chance.........by the way did you ever get the one trainer back after you threw the pair on the pitch........fair play you made up for what was a boring match anyways...a long journey a difficult team....so hopefully we can put three on em <wink>
Paterson could be the ace in the hole - particulary this game. He adds so much more than Peltier in a conventional RB slot, but with Manga behind him this game, he could be the difference going forward.
Always tough at Oakwell so a great win. Wins there in the middle of winter or a bit earlier win championships.
