RULES

Choose your driver pairing(s) before the deadline.

1. Choose a tier (your first is free)
2. Choose your '+' driver from that tier
3. Choose a '–' driver from the same tier
4. Players from round 18 who do not pick a new driver pairing or buy any add-ons will have their choices from Abu Dhabi carried over to the US
5. The points scored by your '–' driver will be subtracted from the points scored by your '+' driver to give you your score for the race
6. If you have enough points you may use them to 'buy' a second tier (20 pts each)
6b. If you have more than enough points you may use them to 'buy' a rather smart points booster (see Add-ons thread for info)

TIERS

Tier 1
Red Bull: Vettel / Webber
Ferrari: Alonso / Massa
McLaren: Button / Hamilton

Tier 2
Lotus: Raikkonen / Grosjean
Mercedes: Schumacher / Rosberg
Sauber: Kobayashi / Perez

Tier 3
Force India: di Resta / Hulkenberg
Williams: Maldonado / Senna
Toro Rosso: Ricciardo / Vergne

Tier 4
Marussia: Glock / Pic
Caterham: Kovalainen / Petrov
HRT: de la Rosa / Karthikeyan

HOW DRIVERS SCORE POINTS

NB. 'Qualifying' points allocations take post-qualifying penalties into account and are therefore based on race start positions. For example, if Massa qualifies in 4th place but receives a five place grid penalty then points will be allocated based on his race start position of 9th. There is therefore a double hit for drivers who receive a penalty resulting from a stewards inquiry. Time penalties: 2 points docked from score and potentially a lower race finish. Grid penalties: 3 points docked from score at current race and a grid drop at the following race.

The US GP has provided an interesting development in the championship standings, with this week's winner also taking over the championship lead. Without further ado, and with 57 points...

It was a narrow victory, snatched from Miggins, with 54 points, who was a little way ahead of third-placed BrightLampShade on 47 points. Well done, all.

Woohoo! Another victory! And a very narrow championship lead! It is slightly hollow as cosi and Westy didn't get their picks in as I'm sure they would've been right up there. Certainly didn't expect to claw back 86 points in 3 races but this is very good! <party>

Thanks again genji. A very enjoyable game (and not just because of this race):emoticon-0148-yes:

Haha! Well done, RRunner. (Thanks Genji: there are so many diResta's that I didn't know who this was until you clarified).

RR: you can be sure I'll make a fight of it in Brazil. Good luck!
(I'm expecting to be there for the showdown!)
