I should point out to all who don't read the article (Or at least as I interpret it) it was Chelsea who paid £80 K for him from Fullham when he was ten, not us. Wouldn't surprise me, Chelsea have paid alot of money to assemble their youth team, I guess even at this level, clubs are willing to pay for the best talent and this is supported if you look at the recent winners of the youth cup: since Ipswich won it in 2005, the winners have been the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City and Man United and no smaller clubs.

Just puts what the lads have achieved to make it this far into context, doesn't it! Well done guys!

One of their players, Chelsea U18s that is, has signed a professional contract and will be a millionaire by 20. And I will bet my pension against his million that he won't have started a 1st team game by then.

Nathan Ake who was playing centre back, has played 3 times for the first team this year and was bought for £250k I believe from feyenoord when he was 15. The calibre of player that the norwich lads beat was incredible. Top achievement.
