Have you guys lost your mind? £5 milion for Matt Mills? He's good but not that good.

Yes, of course he's not worth that much, but owners seem content to pay over-inflated fees.

Well quickly, how 'good' is he in fiscal value; we don't have long to get on the phone to Sven and change the offe.......too late.

By the sounds of it, the price will be around 4.5 or so, rising to 5.5 with add ons, is that any better?

Well 3.5Million was rejected. And we interest from the Premiership his value was clearly going to increase. An offer of 4-5 million is logical, and that is exactly what we did. Also remember he is one of the best defenders in the CCC and was readings captain. I think a cracking deal for both parties!

I think he is worth that much. If Brum lose Danns in Johnson and Mills remains in the Championship, he will be the best centre half in the league IMO. I'd be surprised if a Prem club doesn't beat you guys to it but it does look possible.

But how come Leicester are spending so aggressive? And are you pleased with your other signings thus far?

very happy so far double; although I think the media is making us out to be bigger spenders than we have been so far - We have spent around £3m on 5 players....although with Mills looking likely and the possibility of Maynard it could be around 8m for a further two!

Probably around 4-5m will be regained in sales if the above does happen:

Hobbs - gone, for up to £1m
    Bamba - Marseille 2m bid
    Waghorn - probably around 1/1.5m
Dyer - probably around 500k to Sheff Wed

and a couple of other smaller deals

Owners want premier league this season, that explains the aggressive signings sofar, and with Sven given any ammount to spend, he is more than likely to land (probably) the very top players on his wish list.

As far as players weve already signed, i can see them all going into the starting 11, the first game of the season is going to be interesting.....

I think you'll have Maynard come the end of the summer. As for Mills - I'd hope someone doesn't gazzump your bid and you can push it through fast. Great, great signing if you get him.

Don't think you'll get 500k for Dyer from a League One club. One reason being for some reason you guys gave him 4 year deal in December (according to Wiki!????) Weird if that's true - he's 28 and with no Premiership potential. Surely you just want to get him off your books?

Good luck for the summer Foxes... But not too much good luck.

Dyer was an imprtant player last season, best impact sub a club can have.

I believe we gave him a 4-year deal as we didnt have very many players last year, when Sven came in, we had the max ammount of loanees which are allowed to play in most games.

If he does end up at Sheff Wed, it will be because Sven can't guarantee him regular football, so he will happily move on, i doubt he will stay for the wages.

all depends if wolves come in with same bid. He said he wasnt engineering a move - but we hope he hasnt jsut moved for money - most presume the club acceted the bid regardless. hope he does well for you, hes a decent player but has some shortcomings - if youre lucky you will get the player we had for last 6 months (athletic, passionate, good at attacking corners), if not you will get the matt mills we had before that - not the quickest, bad tempered and poor positionally
