AKA 'at 3am this morning I couldn't sleep, the love of my life has gone and left me! He had a drunken affair and lost his job, I'll probably never see him again (in black n Amber), I certainly won't be able to fantasise about his long golden locks, slim legs (albeit skinny and scarred knees) he's gone I have to move on' Percy AKA TWF Let go of it Perce, move on, build a bridge and get over it, every cloud has a silver.....you know the rest
If he'd acted like a professional and actually put his heart into his work then it would have worked. His fishing buddies down here have always said he couldn't care less about Hull City and didn't mind not playing(allegedly).
You felt compelled to come on here at 3.18am and write that? You really are a strange little boy Percy.
Honestly, I can't disagree... Legible for the state I was in, so there's that. Otherwise, yeah, a strange one.
In my experience (which is a lot greater than yours Perc.) people who say "Let's be honest" usually aren't. What makes you think Hull is one of the poorest cities in England? By what definition? I reckon Bullards wages worked out at £310,000 per game. Frankly we could have got Rooney for that. Which ever way you look at it he was a drain on the club and we needed rid. He then made something of a target of himself with his off field antics. Even now, I don't see a stampede to get him.
Congratulations on being older? Low average wage, high unemployment, stuff like that. Come on, let's not pretend it's an affluent place. At other clubs this whole thing wouldn't have been a big deal. The writing was on the wall for JB the second time he got injured and people realised he was getting paid in a week what they get paid in four years and not "working" for it. (Though I don't know if anyone's tried rehabbing a knee, it's not easy work). Anyway, local attitudes meant this was never going to work.
Yeah, because everyone was devastated when we won at Wembley Of course after the second injury we were back in the Championship (or Championship bound) and most of us realised that his wages were unsustainable in the Championship, especially with a club with tight financial constraints. At that point, it was best for the club to get rid for long term financial stabability. Playing him wouldn't have gaurnateed anything us going up, he had a suspect injury record and him being on the pitch wouldn't automatically give us 3 points. Like all supporters we want to do well, but accept that everything isn't always easy and things don't happen straight away. To begin to think that the people of Hull hate success is frankly insulting.
