Not in this lifetime..... nolan has proved he can still cut it in the premierleague so never would he drop down to the championship if it wasnt with newcastle.

Just cos he rejected a two year extension, doesn't mean he's not still got 2 years left in him.
Back on the heart-rate monitor big man!!

Offer 2m more & I'll snap his hands off!!!

*Assuming Cabaye is going to sign, selling Nolan for 5m/6m(doubt he'll pay that) isn't that bad, considering we bought him for 4m.

Another master piece of business by the Fat Man. Not!

Just where does the joker get off? If Nolan was going to leave for that kind of money there'd be clubs queuing up for him.

Nothing to do with "he might have two years left in him", the point is he was the top scoring english midfielder last season........ therefore why go to whu for next season when he could still do a job in the premier league.

Why would anyone even contemplate selling the man who has been at the forefront of our revival these last two seasons!

  10. Are you ****ing stupid mate?

Our top scorer in two seasons? 30 goals? I'm sorry mate, i know you don't think Nolan is a great player, but losing his goals and contribition would be more than a 5 million pound loss.

    this exactly.

Due to the fact we dont seem to be making much progress with strikers in the transfer market YET> there is nobody id rather have playing behind the striker to score goals than nolan. Hes being doing that for the last 2 seasons as HMT pointed out.

Nolan and HBA upfront, our current best strike pairing imo. Nolan makes up for his lack of skill and pace with his positioning. A perfect "fox in the box", if you give him a chance he'll score. Great player, would love to see him used as a second striker.

Can't see Nolan leaving for West Ham.

He has two years on his contract, has scored 30 goals in two seasons, is club captain and will be on better pay than West Ham would offer.

Totally.....once October comes and he's lost his "Summer Weight" he always comes back with - he'll be mint!!

Seriously - our Yellow kit did the lad no favours in August-October! WOBBLE! ;-)

  16. A player doesn't need to be flat stomached or ripped to be an effective player, we all need a bit of fat on us, and Nolan is a mix of fat and muscle, which is perfect for his style of play.

He adds strength to our midfield, he disposesses players, helps out our defense, and isn't easy shrugged off the ball. Also just because he's got some fat, doesn't mean he's not fit enough to play.

He can still run throughout the game, and get up the pitch quick enough.

The wierd thing is though he's not even fat.
Looked suprisingly tall and lean at the talk in a few weeks ago.

  19. He has a bit of a fat on him, but you can't really see it. He doesn't have tits and flab. He's just a big framed player.
