Saints fan in peace but very annoyed about the extortionate ticket prices for the match at Elland Road. That is outragous for a Championship match. I know its not your fault and I'm assuming you have to pay the same prices as the away fans. In comparison, I pay £15 to see Saints. Rant over!

Hi Tom, welcome to Bates' world. We pay exorbitant prices with little support from our chairman. Write to Bates and ask him why he charges you so much. Last club I had to pay that at was Spurs in '98 when Graham had his last game as Leeds manager.

He'd rather have a lower crowd paying more money. Again showing why being a good businessman (in some ways) isnt the same as being a good chairman

If our average ticket price was £15 I can pretty much guarantee we would be playing in front of almost 40,000 a match.

But Bates does not and will not ever see that.

To the tune of Abba, "Money, Money, Money". That's all Bates cares for.

You will pay what we wish you to pay and you will bloody well like it. Uncle Ken has an empire to build at Costa Del Elland Road and you should be grateful he let's you contribute towards his needs, at such a low cost level.

Take two in the morning and one in the evening, if you find your penis is getting older than the rest of your body from taking this medication, then get as much as you can before it falls off!:

Charging massive amounts dosn't make you a good businessman. Its Supply/demand to reach an equilibrium, at at charging different amounts you reach different equilibrium. In all honesty if he charge say £25 instead of £36 the added amount of people could exceed the revenue from charging £36 both making it more affordable and maximising profit. If maximising profit is the point at which you could only just sell the very last seat in the stadium for the highest price in being able to do so is most efficient from a business perspective, thats a good businessman.

I know all about that and price elasticity. I meant it in the sense that often a higher price can lead to higher profits if demand doesnt fall too much. But in the football business the team should be the main focus and higher crowds would defo benefit the team

last season i could get in at cardiff for £15, this season its £20 i believe, shows the difference between clubs like cardiff living in the real world and understanding that times are hard for the man on the street and having strong ties with the local community and clubs like leeds whose pricing policy is testing the fans loyalty to the limit <ok>

you would have thought that with all the tax dodging bates does, he could afford to pass on some of these 'savings' onto the club?

That's rich coming from a Cardiff fan who hardly have a great record of Chairmen, I know Bates is a cock but he's got a long way to go to beat Sam Haman and his hired thugs. Can a man sink much lower than hiring known football hooligans to "protect" him.

Not to forget the legendary Peter Ridsdale who both teams have had to suffer, if the FA and courts had had any balls at the time you too would have eventually gone into administration under his leadership.
